Wow look at this food, chicken paprikash straight to my heart, look at her burger, tastes even better than it looks absolutely fantastic we stumbled across this while going into the world famous bakery next door!

So I'll start by saying that I went here probably 10yrs ago and it wasn't great.. 🫤
Recently a friend and I decided to give it another shot, and I'm glad we did!! The service was excellent, attentive and friendly. They also let me sample the chicken paprikas sauce, which is really good!! However, we decided we wanted burgers and onion rings for lunch. My friend had the Sammy Say burger that was comparable to an OH BOY burger (if you're from around here you probably know what that is) and she said it was really good. I had the mushroom swiss burger and I have to say, it was one of THE BEST MUSHROOM SWISS BURGERS I'VE EVER HAD!! The onion rings were also fantastic!! The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back, the other patrons were all friendly and personable as well.. We had a great experience here and we will definitely be going back!! 5⭐

Great local diner. From pirogies, burgers, pizza, perch, gyros, everything is fantastic. They also have George’s Tin Roof ice cream parlor next door. Best ice cream around!

I had the double mac attack Burger, onion rings and ordered a medium sausage and double cheese pizza. The burger was a spin off of a Big Mac. The bun was more of a roll which was lightly toasted yet still very soft and fluffy. The beef patties were satisfactory and the Mac attack sauce really tied it all together. I would rather have this burger than a Big Mac any day. The onion rings were perfect. They were just how I like them, a crispy fried shell and real ring of onion on the inside. The pizza was also VERY good. When I lifted a slice about 12-15 inches, the cheese still wanted to stay connected to the adjacent pieces just like in the commercials on TV. The edge of the crust had a crispness to it but wasn't crunchy or tough like some edge crusts can be. The pizza was a little greasy but not a complaint of mine. I mean they did definitely put EXTRA cheese on it as I requested so the grease is to be expected. The sausage was plentiful and seasoned well. The sauce had a hint of a sweet taste but mostly tomato with seasonings. Overall a delicious pizza! This was my first time eating here and I was glad I made the trip! I also must say that they have plenty on the menu for everyone so a picky eater should find something satisfying. I want to try the perch sandwich next time and get a taco foldover pizza! 5 stars good job!

Absolutely best place to stop for a quick bite in Amherst, Ohio. To die for sandwiches. Best of all you can order ahead for a pick-up. Prices are slightly pricey but you walk away full and satisfied. This place is a bargain. Well kept and clean for your dining experience!!

Top notch, family friendly, fantastic staff and owners. Food was delish and hit the spot. Ice cream was oh so scrumdiddlyumptious (got to taste test quite a few) after we already had ice cream with dinner, feeling fat and happy. Thanks Amanda for the excellent service 10/10 recommend.

First-time customers. We found the restaurant clean. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. The food arrived, and I was blown away! My husband and I had the Pierogie dinner. It was delicious. My son had the Mac n cheese burger. He never finishes much. But he ate the entire dinner. My friend had the Cajun burger. She said it was fantastic.
I would highly recommend Sal and Al's. The homemade food truly was so good.

Such a lovely place to go. Got taken care of super fast. Always kept checking in on us and refilling the cups with out having to ask them.

Old home town feel. The food was good and staff were wonderful. We had a few messups with the food which were rectified right away.

Stopped at this super cute restaurant while traveling. Clean, fun atmosphere and great service. Chicken Paprikash is a family favorite of ours. I was hesitant to order since it is something we make at home. Told our great server and she offered us a sample! Three sons, grandson and I all agreed it was better than my homemade. Will definitely stop again when in the area and order this dish!

Had take out for the 1st time for my mom and myself. she had a gyro I had the Flatbread and hummus and tabuli we will be back

Good variety foods and everything was great, ice cream shop just next door is connected to the restaurant perfect dessert and very convenient.

This place has amazing customer service we were constantly checked on. our drinks got to the half way point, we didn't need to ask for a refill she just came over and filled it this place has made me a patron I totally suggest the Pierogi's the pic shows the white chicken chili and in the background the Philly Pierogi's both were awsome

They have so much variety in their offerings, from sandwiches and pizza to Syrian food. We were a large group of 8, they were happy to accomodate us, our server was knowledgeable and friendly and happy to offer suggestions and recommendations. Each person order something different and everyone was happy and impressed, and the prices are so fair! After eating, we headed over the ice cream side and enjoyed some amazing treats. We said as we left that this would be our new go to family restaurant since it was so good and so much less stressful than cooking and hosting!

I havent been here in about 18 years and it is still great, the food was really good, the customer service was great also.

Cute local diner place. I like how they’re very accommodating on adjusting the sides and drinks per customer request, much more so than many other places. Staff are friendly and meals are reasonably priced. I only wish they would open till a little later.

The food and service are the best! This place has improved greatly since the last time we were there. We stopped going 2 years ago because of poor food quality.

I would recommend this place to anyone. They at the ice cream parlor has the best flavors and I would go again
