Reason for closure: Operating outside scope of permit. The market was operating a meat department that it didn’t have a permit for. The meat case was not keeping cold enough; the inspector noted a “strong rancid smell” and found about ten rotten raw pigs feet for sale. Everything in the case was discarded for being at unsafe temperatures. There were also a couple of dead gnats in the case and houseflies in the store, and some improperly labeled house-made salsa and sour cream for sale.
