Sea Shell Motel

Called for a last minute stay as we were road tripping in the area and were ready to rest. Debbie was so pleasant on the phone and happened to have availability! I appreciate that they stick to their reasonable prices as I've had motels increase the price for a last minute pop in. The room is very clean and really cute. The beds are very comfortable! I don't love the pillows, they're a little flat, but to be fair, I'm choosy about my pillows so I travel with mine. All in all a great little place with friendly owners who know how to be hospitable 💙

On two different occasions I met Tom and Debbie. They are good hearted people. They went out of their way to make your stay is fun! My husband and I loved the Sea Shell. We had a great time using kayaks, went clamming in the pond behind hotel. They have a wonderful outdoor shower and also hose to clean outside. There is a grill to cook.The vacationers were very nice enjoying outdoors. There are canoes too.

First of all, Debbie & Tom (owners) are just darling. They’re so sweet and helpful and do a fantastic job on the upkeep of their charming pink motel.
The beds are SUPER comfy and the rooms are clean.
It’s less than a block away from the beach and the motel itself is situated on a lovely estuary in which guests could use the kayaks or canoe that are available at no extra charge.
There’s a gas grill and a couple of picnic tables that we utilized as well rather than going out to eat at one of the overly priced tourist traps.
I was also pleased that they have a private outdoor shower that guests could use to rinse the sand and salt off before returning to the room, and conveniently there’s a clothes line to dry off wet beach towels and swimwear.
The nicest part of the experience was that they welcomed our dog Lester with open arms, as Debbie & Tom are dog lovers as well.
We look forward to staying with them again!

This place is so amazing, me and my girlfriend came for 2 days and stayed 3, we loved it so much! The owners Debbie and Tom and Nancy and their brunette employee where so kind and accommodating to every thing we needed. Kayaks were so much fun!
Definitely will be back. 100%

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for awhile. We stayed for a few nights preseason. Chris was excellent and super accommodating. Our room was a bit small in the “pink hotel”, so he moved us to another room which was much more spacious in the Beach Ball Motel across the street. It was great, as it gave my kids some room to move around. There is access to the grill outside, an awesome hot tub, paddle boats, kayaks and more. My little guy loved playing in the sandbox while I relaxed, looking over the beautiful view of the salt water ponds. You’re just steps away from the ocean, so there’s no need to pack the car and pay for parking. It really was an amazing stay. I look forward to visiting again.

Very cute motel! We got moved to the beach ball across the street which was nice! The little dock and yard behind sea shell is adorable.

The staff were very very sweet. We unfortunately had to shorten our stay but would choose this hotel again!

The rooms were clean and sized nicely. Beds were comfortable. There were many amenities such as a hot tub, salt water lake with paddle boats and kayaks for guests to use at no extra charge, and dogs were allowed which is what sold us on booking / staying here. The managers Eric and Chris are great and helped us with everything we asked for and also have fun suggestions for us to do while staying in RI. I would most definitely recommend this motel to anyone.

I have to say one of the nicest places I've stayed with my dog. It's really hard to find a place in Rhode Island that is dog pet friendly. The staff was very attentive to our needs and to my dog. The room was clean with updated shower and updated tile floors in a new TV it was a short walk to the beach and the beds were very comfortable and clean. I was a little hesitant to book a room here. I had seen from past reviews that people were complaining about bedbugs. That's totally a false statement! The rooms were very very clean the beds were clean I saw no signs of bugs other than the ones that flew in through the door. I would recommend this place to anyone that is traveling or interested in taking a Vacation with their pet. I would like to thank the owner chris Eric and Carrie thank you for A wonderful time we will surely be back as soon as possible love the place❤😊🐕

Staying here over night to hit the beach on my birthday in the morning with a few friends. We got to the motel very late but the owner was nice enough to stay up and wait until we arrived even though we arrived a little after when we said we would. She is even allowing us to leave our car after checkout instead of paying for parking. The room was very nice with a welcoming beach feel and clean but the pillows could be a little bigger and fluffier and the beds could be a little fluffier but over all it was very nice. Plan to hit the hot tub Jacuzzi they provide in the morning and have a nice relaxing day. Sitting in front of my room during the night I can hear the waves in the distance it's beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to misquamicut.

We were married in Narragansett, my in-laws stayed here the night before and night of our wedding. Our hotel plans fell through for our wedding night the night before we got married and the owners of sea shell offered to watch our dogs for us, as they were booked solid and couldn't offer us a room. Absolutely amazing people, we've stayed there four times now and will be staying there again, this time with our children! Highly recommend and would give six stars if I could!

Awesome spot, awesome staff!! I dealt with Danny over the phone and Eric in person. Both are super helpful, and I really enjoyed my stay at one of their apartments up the street. The lady who got the room ready for us (did not catch her name) was also outstanding. Will definitely be back soon!!

We stay here every year some times twice a year. Can't say enough! Amazing staff amazing owners. Short walk to beach. Super clean! Family ....pet friendly. Kayaks ,paddleboat! Did I mention the staff took time out to show my 6 year old how to catch a crab! You can't find a place like it. We stay on the beachball side but both are just amazing!

We booked 3 hotel rooms to stay with the family here and it was great. We parked our car in their lot and walked to the beach to setup for the day to avoid paying the beach fee, then when we came back we used their kayaks in the bay in the back. The kids loved going out on the rides. Then we used the hot tub to relax and let the kids run around in the yard. One of the few hotels with so much included. Also had a fridge with a freezer and a microwave

I can't say enough...the owners Deb and Tom are amazing people! Chris the manager, just as amazing! Clean, pet friendly, accomdating! Sunrise and sunset on the pond beautiful. Grill, paddle boat and kayak in the back and walking distance to the beach! Have been staying here since day one and love more each time! They also own The Beachball Inn across the street, just as nice! A must stay when you are in the area!

Very Family Friendly..The backyard feels like home( bbq grill, hot tub, private pond with kayaking) Very friendly staff. Modest rooms.clean. u only need to sleep u will be so busy
Enjoying the beach !

I've been coming to the Seashell annually since 2012, just before Hurricane Sandy. Like many businesses in the area, the Seashell bounced back bigger and better than ever. Despite that, I think it's still important to understand what kind of place this is. A lot of the negative reviews on here seem to be a case of mismanaged expectations.

The beds are firm but comfy, the rooms are small but cozy, and the building itself is goofy but endearing. Around the back is a beautiful view of the salt pond, with a small dock from which to launch cayaks and paddle boats. There's a jacuzzi in the corner surrounded by tall sea grass. It's about a 2 minute walk from the beach, and several bars and restaurants.

The Seashell doesn't pretend to be a 4 star resort hotel, but if you want the true Westerly experience, you should book a room here.

Excellent management made us feel at home. Pet friendly. Nice view of the bay and within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. Had a great stay. Hated to leave.

Free kayaking & row boat access was so epic !! Had an amazing time with the gf , the owner was a very kind soul & made you feel very welcome 😁🙌🏼 The room was very clean & I’ll definitely come back with my pet next time 💯

Great location! Great prices! Rooms are clean. Eric is very helpful! You can grill on the back of the hotel. I travel a lot but was thrilled with kindness of the reception desk. Awesome! Highly recommended, will come back as much as I can.
