Ocean State Equine Associates

The Vets at Ocean State Equine have been up to my boarding facility in Freetown, Massachusetts to see my horse, Duke, 2 times. The Vets and their Vet Techs really know horses and they work quickly and efficiently. They are really nice people.

They are also gentle and patient with Duke. All they do is horses and ponies, so you know your horse is going to get the best care.

Nice, clean facility, welcoming staff. They truly care about the horses. Would highly recommend Dr. Currid for your lameness problems.

Professionalism from start to finish

I have had Ocean State care for my horses for well over 15 years. Every doctor has been outstanding in care and follow-up on my horses. I have had them come for every possible horse situation, including having to euthanize a beloved horse. They are knowledgeable, compassionate and kind in every situation. I highly recommend them. Brought our rescue mini, Precious, in for red maple poisoning. Precious was in their care 11 days; 9 spent in ICU.
Can't say enough positive things about the care she received from the entire staff.
The Dr called every morning and evening and mid day when there was a change that required blood transfusions or change in meds.
We were told that Ocean State Equine was where Precious needed to be; not our usual "go to" equine hospital. This will be our "go to" hospital going forward.
In spite of Covid we felt we were right there at her side because the entire staff kept us up to date. NEVER did we wonder how she was doing and NEVER had to call to find out how she was. 10 star rating in our hearts!

I can't say enough about the care provided by Dr. Skeffington. Took her time and answered all of my questions. I will continue to use Ocean State Equine.

In a very difficult situation, I found Dr. Currid and his staff amazingly kind and compassionate as well as knowledgeable.

Brought my horse up their for a fall to have surgery and get a call a day later saying I need to put her down. They never took X-rays or did there own exam they out my horse unnecessarily pain to just tell me to put her down. And still charged me thousand of dollars for their mistake and misdiagnosed. Don’t go there.
