Scituate Hardware

I love this place. I could spend hours and have and it's not that big at all. If you're looking for something you can't find somewhere else check with these folks. They know exactly where everything is in the store. They carry old used parts as well. At least they had an electrical part to an old lamp I was fixing. Used but you wouldn't be able to find a new one anyway. They carry high quality tools, have everything you would need same as a big DIY outfit just not a bunch of the options.

Needed a sump pump- in a desperate moment- ours died and basement was taking in water... My husband hit the big box store near his work and grabbed what they had. I decided to call Scituate Hardware- local and convenient. They had a superior product to what my husband got and it was actually less money! Oh, and the service... that is why we all love and should support small business!

For a little village hardware store, they seem to have everything! Their prices are higher than the big box stores but comparable to Ace Hardware. PLUS, I prefer shopping my local businesses and small "mom & pop shops".

Was on a quest for some steel rings for my meteor hammer. This was the 3rd stop. Frustrated, I walk in to this place and immediately am helped by a lovely woman, I did not get her name, who seems to know where everything is down to the smallest washer. Within 5 minutes I was shown to and picked out what i need. There is quite the selection of EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED I might add!! They are dog friendly! Very comprehensive selection from what I saw. Go there!!! I won't go anywhere else.

Wow! A real hardware store still exists. They have it all and everything is priced right. Fantastic customer service! There's no need to wander around unless you'd like to sample the plethora of goods from A to Z. They'll help you find what you need just like the good old days.

Great store friendly and helpful staff.. Some of them can be minors or just over 18, and still answer all my questions! They train and educate their staff well!! I would highly recommend them. I would highly recommend them if your in the area and need just about any hardware item, they also make keys *a lot of places do that I know but they just do a great job.. I could easily compare them to a Home Depot or even better. They have a large variety of products like I said before I believe they even go as far as plumbing (easily) gutters they replace glass if you have a broken window from a house they'll replace the glass and properly seal it.. They all definitely know what they are doing!! Never had a bad experience and have been going there for years I have lived in Scituate for at least 18 years now 24 and have been going since I was about 10 or so.. *Mentioned my age to show just how long I have approved of their services!!!!
Great store, Great employees, have even heard its a great place for employment from employees themselves!!! I WOULD AGAIN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!! :)

If they don't have it, you don't need it! The Home Depot is a joke compared to this place! Unlike the Depot, everyone who works here knows what they're talking about. Highly recommended!

A blast from the past! Looks like they have EVERYTHING all crammed into some small real estate. Very helpful staff, great prices. I love this place.

This store is by far the best hardware store I've seen in my entire life. Staff was extremely knowledgeable. The store is soooo incredibly stocked and they have something for everyone. I wish there were more than 5 stars to rate this establishment.

Until today, I never knew that this location was a hardware store open to the public, until I stumbled upon an online review about Scituate Hardware. I stopped in there on my way home from work for 2 items. I walked out with exactly those 2 items plus another 3! They have everything and are very helpful and friendly too! I will happily go there from now on instead of the 2 local big box home stores.

The two owners are the best. Got everything. if they don't have it, you don't need it.

A hidden gem and one of the few remaining classic hardware stores in Rhode Island. If they don't have it you don't need it. Not many places left where you can buy nails by the pound!

The best. They should be the model for other shops to follow. Knowledgeable friendly staff. This store really does have everything and one of the best selections of fasteners in the state. Family run great place.

If you need it they've got it,sales staff are very helpful and know exactly where everything is.
