Mare Rooftop

I went here for the first time yesterday and have not stoped raving about it ever since! Mare rooftop definitely exceeded every expectation I ever had and was easily one of the best restaurants I have ever been too! Not only was the food beyond amazing but the aesthetic of the restaurant itself was beautiful! The waiters were also super friendly and accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. Will definitely be back in the future!! 12/10 would definitely recommend!

Hello and check out Mare Rooftop Restaurant and here's why.Our server,Aaron was spot on making our New Years Eve dinner so memorable.The Manager,Justin came by to offer Seasons greetings! Everything we ordered was delicious and looked even better.I would say to try the mussels on the appetizer menu,have not had a better preparation anywhere.An amazing relaxed atmosphere with a great view!Wow.

Their rooftop area is great!! The outdoor igloos are so fun. Had the oysters, charcuterie, and lobster and all were amazing!!

We spent a beautiful afternoon sharing in celebrating my daughter’s bridal shower on Saturday, August 19th. The food was excellent, the atmosphere beautiful but the most exceptional part was the service. From planning to execution, we were treated and cared for in an exclusive manner. No request was too inconsequential; staff and management went above and beyond to provide an unparalleled memory. Not only were we, the planning group happy, our guests raved about the event throughout the day and evening. Thank you for making this important event more than our bride could ever dream of.

First time being here, had dinner with my family. From the food to the service, 1A. Shout out to Olivia, so far, the best.

My husband and I took my 19 year old son and his girlfriend for lunch at Mare yesterday. Starting from the outside the building itself, corridor and elevator are super clean. We were greeted my a friendly host and were seated right away. Although it was a balmy 20 degrees out, the sun was shining so it was just so pleasing to feel like you were "outside" as you're surrounded by glass yet it was nice and warm and we could still feel the sunshine. Our waitress Ashley was really wonderful. We had some questions about the menu items and she was extremely knowledgable. You truly get high end service here without the "stuffiness" that normally comes with that. We couldn't decide what to get so we got the grilled octopus, Brussels sprouts and squash salad as appetizers. All wonderfully delicious. We all got different meals as well, I got the monkfish, my son the steak, my husband the pork chop and his girlfriend go the lobster mac and cheese as a meal. All of it was wonderful, my monkfish was really delicious. The steak had a bit more char then he liked as it overtook the taste a bit but that was probably because he asked for it medium well vs medium. I had the apple cider sangria and a glass of white wine and my husband tried two different white wines as well which were all great. Of course we opted for the Kit Kat cheesecake and the cookie skillet for desert and we all shared and a couple espressos. The waitress was nice enough to bring the cookie skillet out with a candle for my son. I can't say enough of Mare, the service was really wonderful and perfectly timed, the atmosphere made us want to stay for an extended period of time and the food was really fantastic. I can't wait to come back and sit at the bar with some pizzas and wine with my husband after work.

Please read the whole thread :) —Absolutely the most amazing food! The service here has been incredible each time I visit. The atmosphere is breathtaking!! I’d come here every week to eat if I could :) . I highly recommend.

Perfect place to visit on any day of the week that they’re open. This is my officially my home. Look at the previous updates and you’ll see why 🤍. Make sure to stop here when you’re in the neighborhood or anywhere from around the world. The love and welcoming atmosphere that is provided here has touched my soul in so many ways ! Absolutely in love - before I go ; the new chef Giuseppe ( I hope I spelled his name correctly) is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! He made this lemon desert with this Italian cream , I shed a couple tears.. several. Can someone please let this man know how talented and appreciated he is, most people don’t get to meet the chefs, this one is a GEM and the many chefs prior . Wow . Wow . Wow . As I sit here eating my desert and writing this review , I think to myself, Mare is all I need. Someone let David know, I am also thankful of this beautiful establishment and will keep coming here for as long as I am alive . Finally but always , A special shout-out to Mike, Justin, and Catherine !!!! I could go on about everyone , you know :)

Can I just say again how much I love it here. The Octopus was amazing tonight, I almost walked into the kitchen to shake the persons hand who made my meal. Since I can’t create a new post I’ll just keep adding to this thread . Tonight’s meal was the octopus with the three lemon wedges ( it must be noted o requested my octopus this way) & the the steak frites is phenomenal. The staff here are incredibly pleasant. Hailey is just the kind of person I always want serving me, she just knows how to meet your needs . And Mike works to make sure all his guests are happy and satisfied . That octopus is IMMACULATE . I had to edit on this post because google wouldn’t let me add a new post since I have already rated !! But listen ! That octopus, is everything you’re looking for. It comes with that salad you see in the picture, it was so delicious, I had to get it again but this time without the garden ;) I enjoy giving all my attention to the octopus!—who made this because I need details. The tenderness and flavor of the octopus I swear was breathtaking .

A fine East Side Gem! So thankful to have Mare Rooftop in the square. Had an enjoyable night with friends with the sun peeking out after Hurricane Elsa. We had Erica as our server. She and the rest of the staff were super attentive. We tried the appetizer specials, a burrata & fresh fig over watercress and a tuna tartare with house made potato chips. Both were outstanding. We followed that with a fig and prosciutto that did not disappoint. The setting and staff are lovely. Not to be missed! You will love it!

Phenomenal service and food. The lobster bisque was light with big chunks of lobster. The strip and braised ribs were amazing. Generous portions. Genesis was our server and she was super good. Great views and ambience. You can tell the servers and staff were trained well. Some of the best customer service I have ever had.

We decided to try this place during Providence Restaurant week, and it was absolutely delicious. We didn't order from the prefix menu because it was slightly cheaper to go with their standard menu. We ordered the grilled octopus to start which was great. For our entree we decided on Paella for two. I was skeptical because I haven't doing a good paella around here in a long time. But decided to give it a try ayer seeing it at the table next to us. It did not disappoint, the best paella I've had as of yet. The drinks were tasty but were a bit watered down. We didn't try dessert because we were so full so maybe next time. There are great views of the city on the left side and they have a bar outside which is nice. Its not cheap but a definite must try.

I was so happy to watch this place being built just a short distance from my home. Totally worth the wait. The food tastes as delicious as it looks plated exquisitely on every plate. You can tell there is heavy attention to detail with every dish that is served. The food and drinks are priced very reasonably. With a 360 degree view of the East Side surrounding you, there is nowhere better to enjoy a meal. Hope you'll enjoy my new favorite as much as I have already. Special thanks to bartenders Kris and Aliyah for their amazing service!

I was looking for a special place to surprise my wife for our 45th wedding anniversary. Having never been to Mare, I chose this as our destination. It was an amazing evening. The food was incredible, the ambience was equally spectacular. Our rooftop view was made incredible by the rising, full, orange harvest moon! Our evening was enhanced because we had an attentive, considerate and thoughtful server, Nicole. She was so friendly and kind to us. She kept assuring us that she would be with us the entire evening for absolutely anything we needed. We wanted the evening to last as long as possible and she never made us feel rushed.
At the end of the evening, we asked who we could speak to to pass along our compliments. She sent Katherine to us. Katherine also took her time speaking with us, made us feel valuable and appreciated.
Lastly, kudos to the chef! This might be the first time I ordered a steak medium and it actually arrived perfect. Every time I’ve asked for a medium steak, it has always been overcooked. This was beyond delicious!
The evening could not have been any more perfect!

Olivia made sure our first time experience was memorable and unique. We are truly grateful for her service, hardwork and smile. Olivia if you are reading this, MareRooftop is lucky to have you and thank you for making our night very special with your wonderful service. Very professional.

All the staff provide an excellent experience. Great ambience and great pizza and wine selection- how can you go wrong?

I ordered the special , Had to return it but they were very good at compensating me with another plate! And a free dessert! ♥☺

Came here right at 5 at opening. Lots of kids standing around, slickly dressed, getting ready to wait on people. We were seated outside on the balcony with an amazing view of Wayland Square, trees, India Point Park beyond that, and we could see the green 195 bridge sticking up between some trees. My wife isn't from here so I was able to point out where everything is from up there, it was nice.

I had a Stella on draft, she had really good decaf coffee, they made a fresh pot for us, and we shared a piece of $10 cheesecake, which was very very good.

We didn't stay to eat, but the food we saw at other tables looked impressive and the people were happy with their choices.

Truly delicious food, went for Valentine’s Day with my date the first time I went. Had a nice specials menu, and very delicious food. Plenty of parking in the lot, 2 min walk to the entrance (depending on where you park, entrance in front of building). Elevator to the top where the establishment resides. Professional staff and servers. Decent drinks. They have outdoor seating both in the summer and winter, they have the plastic igloos/domes and a heater depending on the season. Nice ambiance transition from early dinner to evening. Overall, I’ve been back to this place more than once and it’s still quality food.

Wow a special evening!! Can only be described as Tuna Prosciutto! Beef cheeks w with nutmeg and cinnamon. The Limoncello the best ever! Chef Giuseppe hit one out of the ball park. This is a restaurant of some distinction but this is a opportunity to grab while he is there.

The food, service and ambience were incredible! We got hummus, braised short rib, chicken Milanese, and crème brûlée cheesecake — everything was great!

What a plesant surprise on the east side of providence. The food was very good. Grilled octopus app excellent. LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE tremendous. The view is just incredible. Open garage type doors with roof top deck, fire pits, bar and dining. Go early evening fir sunset
