Great food, great service and awesome ambiance!
My all time favorite dish here at Sanskrit is ‘Burrito Bowl’, which is available on every Tuesday. All the items listed on the menu (vegetarian, which I have tried) were delicious and reasonably priced.

We just moved to the area and have been trying new restaurants. A few have been really good but many have been a disappointment. We randomly found this little gem on a Sunday, decided to have dinner and WOW! In love! ❤ We’ve been eating Indian food for many years and by far this is the absolute best we’ve ever had! Authentic, incredibly flavorful, spices just right, chicken super tender, and portions good. We had tandoori chicken, samosas, chicken curry, garlic naan and hot chai. The service and food were exceptional and we can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend them!!

My wife and I wanted to try this spot as I had read good things. It did not disappoint. The tandoori shrimp were cooked perfectly. The spices were dazzling yet not too hot. The mint/yogurt sauce added to the flavor while cooling things down a bit.

We followed it up with the butter chicken and garlic naan. The naan was cut into quarters and served in a basket; a nice touch. It was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crispness/chewiness. The butter chicken was very rich but quite delicious. All of this paired perfectly with a Taj Mahal beer (light and dry.)

Our service was great: attentive without being cumbersome. Also of note, our server was dressed impeccably (a nice change from most service these days.)

We will definitely be back, as my wife says it's the best Indian food she's ever had.

Had weekday lunch combo and andhra kara masala dosa with idli Manchurian and pakoras. Great customer service, clean and fresh food!

Yum! Sanskrit never disappoints. We love the variety, portions, and the naan. Tikka Masala and Pahadi are our go-to dishes. The team is very kind and prompt as well!

Delicious, fresh food. Went during a dinner rush so the place was packed but that’s always a good sign to me. Friendly, attentive staff. I can’t wait to go again

Not only is the food authentic Indian, delicious, fresh and reasonably priced, but their take out food is very meticulously and thoughtfully packed, the naan comes in a foil bag so it stays hot. We’ve tried many dishes, both non-veg and vegetarian and have been pleased every single time. Hoping this great restaurant stays this way!

Have been to this place with 3 Indians and trust me it was really great !
Have been craving to have one nice and mild Biryani and I think I got what I wanted. Naans were so delicious.

One of a kind restaurant - both in terms of taste and service. Kudos to the owner - he was courteous and an extremely helpful person.
We ordered idli Manchurian as starter - perfect texture, crisp on the outside and melt in mouth inside. They have a wide variety of dosas to choose from too - would highly recommend their vegan Andhra Karam dosa / uthappam. It's noteworthy that their chutneys aren't served refrigerated and are quite authentic.
For dessert gajar ka halwa is one of the best in the business. It's served with ice cream and has a sweet grainy texture ( of carrots ), right crunch of cashews and the brilliant pop of raisins. Added to that the ice cream isn't extremely sugary.
Overall would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in a mood for authentic tasty Indian food.

Great food, very professionally operated and staff working there are very friendly. My top picks from the menu are chicken Pahadi, butter Chicken, Mangalore fried chicken and chicken biryani.

Tried Sanskrit for the first time and it was great! Butter naan was perfect and the palak paneer was delicious. We ordered take out and the service was fast. Will be returning :)

Had an exceptional dining experience at Sanskrit restaurant. I was amazed by warm hospitality of Vaniya and Maninder (I hope I got there names right). They were attentive and knowledgeable, helping me navigate the menu and suggesting some delightful options. The menu offered a wide range of delicious Indian dishes that catered to various palates. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and every bite was a delightful journey of flavors I was thoroughly impressed by the authentic flavors and aromatic spices that elevated each dish to perfection especially butter chicken and Manglore chicken. I would like to recommend this place. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in town and we often get takeout. The lunch special is a great deal, with dal, naan, rice, and your main dish. It's also one of the few places in town where you can get dosa.

Great food, super staff. We order the butter chicken and palak paneer regularly and never disappointed.

This place is so good. We ate the buffet which was one of my favorites. It comes with plenty of Naan bread which tastes very fresh. So good! A must try. We will eat here again.

My fiance and i went on a thursday evening and Food was excellent and the service was great best curry and dosa we have had in folsom so far will definitely be returning thanks guys!!!!

Had to write this review. Sanskrit team never disappoints. We are coming here almost every week. As we are afraid to get disappointed by other restaurant experiences. The staff is good, the dining room manager is excellent. The menu is limited and every dish on there has been tasting very good. Veg and chicken biryani’s are good. Our favorite is malai kofta, gobi manchurian, manglore chicken , tandoori chicken and butter paneer. We get them extra spicy. Portion sizes are big. Keep it up Sanskrit team. You also get reward points for your order and can redeem them later.
