Our group of 7 had a very good time. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the horses were amazing! We had 3 guides who were very friendly. The only thing I would have liked would be to ride more freely( not in an ordered line). I understand why they must be restricted because of safety and insurance issues. But overall, it was a great experience.

You’re surrounded by natural beauty on this ranch, with warm hospitality at every turn. What may look like a rustic cabin on the outside is as well appointed within as any home you’d rent. A wide array of activities are available, including hiking, swimming, fishing and horseback rides with attentive guides. And the food is absolutely excellent.

We had the best experience doing the riding trails. The staff worked so hard to accommodate our schedule. The wranglers were so nice. And the scenery was beautiful. My boys said the experience was even better than they expected. We love our horseback ride with them!

You can tell they take great care of their horses, and the ride was absolutely stunning and enjoyable. I hope to come back soon and maybe stay there next time instead of just coming for a ride. One of the best trail riding experiences I've ever had!

What an awesome place!! We tried to go for a ride, but the weather didnt cooperate. We still went to check things out, and wow! What a great bunch of people! We met the owners and their kids, and got a great tour of this amazing place! The Kitchen, the Lodge, and the Stampede cabin were spotless. We cant wait to get back and spend some real time! We got to meet some sweet horses, and donkeys- they have a great kids area with a playground and petting area. Pool and Hot Tub, and even a great wedding venue with a spectacular view of the rocks around Tarryall.

Dan and Anna were the best. We are on a week vacation in the Colorado Springs area and my son is in love with horses. I was excited to have that as part of our trip. This was the only place I could find that would do a ride for someone so young and they were incredible. It took a bit to warm up to the horse but Anna and Dan were great taking their time and slowly but surely he did the ride and couldn’t have been more excited or proud. This was absolutely the best experience and a huge highlight of our trip! We found a gem and can’t wait for next year to go again.

What a wonderful place! This dude ranch turned wedding venue is picture perfect. There's an abundance of staff there to meet your needs, answer your questions and take great care of you. There is the usual horseback riding you'd expect plus axe and knife throwing as well as shooting sports. A poll, hot tub and playground round out the features. It was also a beautiful place for a wedding with incredible views.

We took the 1 1/2 hour trail ride. The scenery was amazing and the horses were very well behaved and easy to ride! First ride for my 8 year old daughter, she was a bit timid but really enjoyed it! Thanks for the great experience!

I had the opportunity to stay here recently during a Christian conciliators' retreat. It is a beautiful setting, with caring, friendly, attentive staff who provided great service with a smile. The food was excellent. The meeting facilities accommodated our group of 35 very well. There was a well-marked hiking trail several of us used, while others went fly fishing. There are no TVs in the rooms, which I liked because it promoted more communication between the attendees and activities together. I enjoyed climbing a small ridge and reading Scripture in the rocking chairs as the sun came up over the mountains. While there, I was reading the book, Love Lives Here, by Maria Goff. I think she described this ranch well when she wrote, "Places of rest are holy, they're sacred, and they're rare. Stop writing bad checks with your life you can't cover without some rest. Find your place [of rest] and go there - often." This is just such a place of rest! I will return.

Had the most wonderful and beautiful stay here recently with friends. Amazing location and beautiful scenery. Wonderful, friendly owners and staff. Plentiful supply of delicious meals by a top cook. The riding was just amazing on those beautiful horses. Basically we are going to be talking about this experience for the rest of our lives!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and our young guide, Sam! The weather was great, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the ranch and the scenery is outstanding! Very professional and enjoyable guided tour through National Forest land. Recommend 1000% (day trippers on vacation from Missouri)

I didn’t stay here, but rather passed through with two friends on a bikepacking trip of the Colorado trail. We just stopped to get some water, but ended up being invited in for an unmatched wood fired meal. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Come here, you will enjoy it too.
Thanks Dan and Kristen.

I drove down to Tarryall River Ranch to attend a Dakota Blonde weekend. Before going, I received very helpful e-mails detailing everything that I would need to bring with me, what activities were available during my stay and generally welcoming me to the Ranch. I also spoke with them on the phone a couple of times. When I got to the Ranch to check in, they knew my name just by our previous exchanges! I had a lovely room, was fed like a queen and had a fabulous weekend there. The staff is friendly - they treat you like you are family. I will definitely be going back!

This is the most relaxing, adventurous and welcoming vacation ever. From the moment you enter the Ranch, you feel not only like a welcomed guest but more so like long lost family. Get ready for fun either on horseback, hiking or just hanging out. The Tesch family and their staff really know how to make your stay more then a vacation - an experience.

If you want a slice of heaven, get yourself to Tarryall River Ranch! Smack dab in the middle of Colorado blue skies, mountains, the river, and don't forget --- HORSES--- you will find yourself relaxing, breathing in fresh air and being surrounded by caring people. Bex is the ultimate hostess and rider. She will make you comfortable on your horse and when you see her big smile, you will feel at home. The food is great, the wranglers are great, and aw shucks, pardner, the whole Ranch is GREAT! Can you tell I like the Ranch? Hurry on up and giddyup!

The customer service is amazing, warm and welcoming. It creates a genuine enthusiasm that is contagious. We have learned that is it key to book early, especially around the holidays, because vacancies fill up fast. Very special ranch!

Stopped by unannounced as I needed help and even though I wasn’t a guest, the ranch hand assisted me. In doing so, I got a peek at the grounds which are meticulously maintained and are filled with stylish natural elements that gives the place a cozy, upscale and relaxing vibe
