Granite Canyon General Store

Stopped in again today. 5-4-24. I love this store. I've been going here since the summer of 2000. The new owners are involved with every aspect of their business. They even have a liquor store. The prices are fair for the Mountain Market Prices. The area now services a bunch of Air BNB's. It has changed over the years from locals and Summer 11 Mile Lake customers. The have some hiking and fishing gear, souvenir clothing and First Aid Kits in the rear gift shop area. This is a great place to buy a last-minute bottle of wine for a romantic meal in the mountains. I highly recommend this store to all that travel through Lake George. I also recommend checking their Hours of Operation if you are a first time customer. For now, I believe they are closed on Sundays.

This is the coolest general store you are going to find. The building has lots of history and character. It is full of goodies for kids and adults. The new owners renovated and it is looking great and has much more quality inventory. Perfect place to stop on your way to or from the mountains.

The owners are Lisa & Craig - great peeps. They’ve got a terrific general store operation that’s tidy and offers a wide range of goods… groceries, fishing tackle/licenses, gifts and a very well supplied shop for spirits & beer! If you’re in the Lake George area headed to Eleven Mile Reservoir or Eleven Mile Canyon it’s well worth a stop! Enjoy.

Love this store. The new owners are very friendly and offer great customer service. We only planned to stop in just for a snack and a drink, but we stayed and shopped for a while. They have fun, gourmet, local treats, and great beverage selection (for kids and adults). The kids loved the toys and games. And the camping section even had a few of the items we had been looking for. We will be back! I would recommend to anyone.

Craig and Lisa are helpful and friendly. They have a variety of goods, and the bonus is that if you catch Craig when he has time, he will tell you the fascinating history of Lake George and its general store. We frequent this store and always come out with more than intended; a pullover to keep warm, games, gifts, and have met some of our neighbors there. One stop shop!

We stopped in for some snacks and drinks since we were doing some fishing at eleven mile canyon! What a great little store full of all kinds of goodies! The owners were super nice and we got some delicious drinks and some other eleven mile goodies! We will definitely be stopping in more often!

Had to stop here to get cash back as 11 mile canyon is 8 dollars to enter. The store/bait shop is nice and prices are extremely fair and not overpriced at all. The gentleman who helped me provided me with a map of 11 mile canyon as it was my first time to go and to fish here. The popcorn they sell is so damn good as well. My for sure stop in place before going into 11 mile.

Such a great and convenient place! The owners (and staff) are super friendly and have a true passion for the store, as well as the history of the place. From food to fishing gear and propane, they have anything you might need for your trip!

Would certainly recommend stopping by and myself and my family will be doing the same our next time through.

We stopped here and left a cell phone in their restroom. The owners tracked us down through clever work and called us when we got to Colorado Springs. Drove back and he met us after hours to return it. So very nice of them and will stop there anytime we are passing thru. Thank you for taking your time to help us.

It's an amazing store and the owners are wonderful! They told us the history of the store: when it was built, whi owned it, etc. They also have a lot of old antiques displayed and amazing products. So worth checking out!

I love this Mom and Pop grocery store. It's perfect for stocking up on last minute camping food with many other fun and nostalgic items. We stop for the Boylen's Birch Beer every time we drive through Lake George!!

Fantastic atmosphere, helpful staff and a excellent beer and wine selection. Starky has effective working knowledge of fly fishing techniques and patterns suitable for all south Platte fisheries. A must stop for sure!

If I could give this spot 10 stars I totally would!... Every time we go to and from Buena Vista we stop here just to check it out because it's such a cool building and the people who run it are ALWAYS so friendly. Next time you are passing through make sure you stop by and check it out!... And a bonus; they have a liquor store inside too!!❤❤

Like being family. Everyone is so sweet. They are gladly to help any one out for directions. They are non judgemental. Family friendly. Family owned. I love these guys. Wish I could visit there everyday they are open. There is WiFi & computer you can go & use there is store. Just can't say enough good things about Starky's. Starky's ROCK MY WORLD!

Great place and the staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lots of things to shop. Love they have locally produced products like honey.

The owner is nice, and has a decent selection of alcohol for such a small place. Good to have near the camping spots for the mainstay items you may forget or run out of.

I honestly wasn't expecting to much due to its size but it has two wonderful employees who did a really great job helping me with all my camping needs
