Garchen Buddhist Institute

This monastery is the very first Vajranaya Buddhist temple I have ever been in my life and this place has that combination of serenity and powerful presence of the Dhamma. I was not able to see His eminence Rinpoche in person but I do feel his presence from the chanting in the stupa room. The route to the monastery is a challenge itself which I do enjoy. The seekers must overcome the rough , muddy, rainy and unpaved road to get here and the result is worth it.
I also bought a lot of items from the monastery store to support the Dhamma.
I will treasure this experience for the rest of my life!

I came here for a 4 day retreat and had a really beautiful, unique experience. You arrive and really do feel like you’re in another reality - it’s subtle and yet so profound. I wasn’t even very aware of Buddhism and now it has awaken a thirst in me to understand and practice more. Garchen Rinpoche is a great being.

One of the most unique and tranquil places I’ve visited- beautiful buildings and teachings! Amazing sunset views and nature abound.

Tours available. Just ask. Very nice gift shop. Lots going on here. Its like a little trip to Tibet. Sunday services offered.

It is a best place for your mind and spirit. I feel thousands pounds that forces in my heart for long time just totally released when I got there.

Unfortunately I have never been there so I can't tell about the place even if it seems gorgeous!

I'm following the teachings, Empowerments and retreats given by H.E. Garchen Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenzin, among others, for several months. That is amazing!!! Truly amazing!!! The level is high and demands a lot but at the same time it is very interesting and so simple and beautiful as we all practice for the benefit of all Mother Sentient Beings 🙏.

If you want to know more about Tibetan Buddhism, the practice and if you're looking for the right Center, this is the place to be !

The eyes is closed, but the mind extended. Although you get nothing when doing meditation, some bad things are transformed to good thing.

Amazing staff who constantly give their time and tireless effort to serve. This place is the beating heart and legacy of Garchen Rinpoche, inseparable from Tara. Here you'll find several huts for retreat, 2 stupas, a temple, bookstore, kitchen, and dining hall. There truly are no words to describe how fortunate we are that Rinpoche has made this place his home and invited us into his heart!

I will not get the chance to visit them physically(invalid, France) but i sampled His Excellency's work from a distance and... Most impressed. I will see what else i can learn from them and refer them to any of my distance "clients" interested in Dharma. May many other people experience His Excellency's wisdom abd transferrance thereof, we only perceive a small amount if what is realky going on ... but what an amount😂

Thank you, Khenpo Tenzin for making us feel welcome in our visit to the Garchen Buddhist Institute, for taking time to demonstrate the White Tara mantra to me and my family, and for guiding our further study. We are thankful that the institute is here and support its mission. Even while we are not close enough to visit frequently, we do look forward to the opportunity to visit again and to continue exploring our newfound connection with Tara and interest in Buddhism.

Most extraordinary place and people. The teachings from Garchen Rinpoche and the Khenpos are of the highest quality, and they embody what they teach. So much loving kindness at this institute.

No need to be a Buddhist, come to just enjoy the scenery, and take in the quietness, stay the night in a tent, or rent a room even. The dirt road to get their is a little rough but it's worth it. Amazing smelling incense for sale as well!
