Dr. Brown is the best family doctor in the area in my opinion

I regret to report my visit with Dr. Brown in Apr 2023 was subpar. I went in with pain on left side of neck. I thought I had a pulled muscle, but wasn’t sure. Dr. Brown didn’t tell me what she thought the problem was. She just gave me a shot in my neck where the pain was and sent me on my way. She didn’t tell me what was in the shot, or what the diagnosis was. She didn’t give me much information at all. I have since learned through the portal her diagnosis was “poss pulled muscle”. She didn’t express any personality or compassion or interest.
It was actually a pinched nerve. The injection didn’t do anything. Subsequently, on the advice of another doctor, I had a Steroid Epidural injection done. It also failed to stop the pain. I had cervical fusion surgery on C5,6,7 Sep 2023. I didn’t feel Dr. Brown gave my diagnosis much thought. I had budging discs in my neck but didn’t know the pain was related to that problem since the pain was different than what I had experienced previously. Perhaps she is a good doctor but my one time experience was a bit disappointing.
