I love visiting this little diner like place. Perfect for a simple bite, with an adorable electric train that circles the entire restaurant. If the booths are available you get a perfect shot of them driving by every few minutes. The food is wonderful and family friendly, with lots of different diner type styles.

Good food, friendly service. It was fun to watch the kids light up every time the train went on its way around. Definitely the place to stop and eat when you are in Baker OR.

The best breakfast I've had in a long time. I had the biscuits and gravy with the eggs and breaded chicken on top, I forget what it's called, it was cooked perfectly! If I pass through Baker City again I'll certainly eat there again.

Food was delicious. Nice and friendly staff. They had a neat toy train that would ride around the dining area. Very impressive and enjoyable!

If you love trains and are a train buff this is most assuredly a fantastic restaurant and you'll enjoy it immensely. The food & coffee are equally great!!

The food was really good. The prices aren't super cheap, but you get what you pay for. My husband got a Reuben sandwich and I had a mushroom Swiss burger. Both were good quality. We will definitely stop in again next time we are driving through. The breakfasts we saw on other guests tables looked good too.

Super, super cool little restaurant. They've got trains going throughout the restaurant and have an awesome setup. I can't wait to take the kiddo next time. Service was great and the place was clean.

Food-wise, I had the club sandwich and it was delicious. I would also recommend the fried pickles...chips not spears.

We were pleasantly surprised. I was a bit reluctant after reading reviews. Our meal was quite good. We wanted some healthier options and the full salad plate dinners fit the bill perfectly. Now get ready for some trains and some excited kids when they drive by.

The junction is more than just an off the highway diner; it is a local institution where locals gather, travelers can diner and recuperate while they plan their ongoing journey, and all are treated to good food and great service.

The little railroad inside is good entertainment for kids or scale railroad aficionados. The food is outstanding, served hot and with little delay. The biscuits and gravy alone are worth any trip to this place, but the other fare is most excellent. You won't regret dining here.

Huge portions, definitely got our moneys worth! They offer gluten free buns for burgers ($1 extra) and were happy to sub one for my eggs Benedict and hash and for my children's breakfasts. Bonus: cool model train circles the restaurant

Very impressed. I ordered a country fried steak that came with eggs, hash browns and toast. For $14 I got a heaping plate with so much food that I could not finish. Also has a very casual atmosphere with a train that moves around the restaurant.

They make a great breakfast and have nice decor. They changed up their burgers and they are over the top delicious now! Food always tastes consistent which is also a huge plus and improvement. Staff is super friendly. This is our goto place for takeout breakfast and lunch!

You know some times it's a hit and miss with these small town restaurants but this one is quite different! I'll never pass up a black &blue burger and quite frankly this was one of the best well balanced blue cheese burger I've gotten. Sumpters is now saved in my books and any time I'm driving through will be paid it's respects

Oh yeah the train takes approx. 5:34 seconds to come to your table.

This place was great! I wish it was closer to home, this was a pit stop on a road trip. It has all the staple foods and it has plenty of entertainment! A toy train rides a loop around the entire restaurant, takes 5:15 PER loop, so a few bites, then stare, few more bites then stare. We had kids so they gave us on of the best train views in the place, next to a giant spiral "staircase" of train tracks! My 5 and 3 year old loved it! Even the changing table in the women's was excellently placed, I could change the baby, keep my hand on her and use the toilet! A rare and precious road trip commodity!

Hands down my favorite breakfast I've had in a long time. Chicken fried bacon was unreal. Pineapple bacon omelet was a huge surprise of perfectly matched flavors and my wife's corned beef eggs Benedict was delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this stop.

Being on the road for a few days, it was very welcome to have some good food given to you. Pricing is good, around 8-12 dollars a meal. My fiance and I only had a 24 dollar ticket, much better than you can expect in the city. Definitely make a pass through here if you have the chance.

Been going here for...since they opened. I think some of the waitress have been there as long. Good food, love the model trains that circle around the whole restaurant, kids can watch right from the table. We always plan to stop here for breakfast on every trip to Boise and back home.

This place was awesome. We were traveling home and passing through. We stopped for breakfast and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great too. Both of my daughters loved the train.

Always a go to when visiting Baker city. Enjoy the trains up above as well as the food. Very kid friendly. Have been visiting since I was a very young child myself. (I'm 31) I may live 8 hrs away...but whenever I visit, it's a go to place for breakfast for me.

For half a decade, my family stopped here every year just before christmas on our annual trek from the Washington coast to almost the very Eastern edge of Colorado, and every time this was my favorite part of the trip.
I stopped in a few years back on my way to Arizona, and the food certainly lived up to the nostalgia! This restaurant is a must-see, packed full of history and things to look at. The coffee is even good enough that when I had my first cup ever here at the tender age of eight, my yet-caffeine-independent self downed two whole cups over one breakfast.
Next time I'm in town, you can bet I'll be stopping in.
