I was driving West of Idaho to home after a trip there, it was probably mid-July, and I had had terrible salmonella since that May, which ended the following September. I had to pull over in Baker, we asked for where the emergency room was, and then went there. It wasn't that long of a wait and the person front desk was nice. Then I waited on the bed in on of the mini-rooms, they did the usually checks, then I got some medicine from one of the doctors. He was really nice and talking me through the whole thing. It's too bad I don't think I ever got his name. He knew that walking around was good for gas trapped in your abdomen or something, so he showed me around all the different sections of the building like the birth section, and the emergency surgery section, etc. After that I returned to my mini room and just walked around the room to make myself feel better. The medicine was also working. I felt so much better. But then I had to leave. It's funny, usually people want to leave the hospital when they feel better but I didn't want to leave. I probably won't return because I don't live in Baker, but it was the best trip to the hospital ever. Thank you so much for helping me feel better while I drove home, I won't forget my time here.

My experience in the emergency room was quite comfortable, like I had been there many times before. They were prompt on getting me into ex-rays, everybody had polite words towards me. They were very concerned about how I was feeling.
I even left the hospital to make sure my sister-in-law made it home safely because she had dimensional. When they called my name and was not there to respond, they immediately called my emergency contact, which was my sister-in-law, asking where I was. I assured them that I would return to finish out my visit. When I returned they told me not leave hospital without letting someone know. I assured them I would not do that again. I then had the doctor tell me what was wrong with me in detail and the steps I should take to get better. I believe they were very professional and sincere with me during my visit. Thank all whom were involved with my emergency needs.
Sincerely satisfied,
Thank you,
Kathleen Hohn

I came to the er because I tripped while I was walking and fell on my mouth resulting in broken teeth The doctors, nurses and techs were very professional and thorough. I was quickly seen. They went the extra mile and found a dentist who could see me right away. Dr Hayden was wonderful.

Emergency Room visit on Sunday evening. The staff were kind and courteous. The doctor's exam included listening to me. I appreciate that a great deal. I had a migraine and may have been a bit dehydrated. Doc fixed me up and was able to continue on my vacation drive back across the state in the morning after picking up my prescription he gave me. The staff thought I was there a long time, but compared to ER visits on the other side of the state, it was a quick visit! Thank you.

I had a stent placed in my heart after my heart attack and was released the next day and needed to stay an additional night because there was an ice storm that day so St Alphonsos let me stay placed under observation an additional night. Chaplin Jimmy visited me at my request and prayed with me and printed a map of the bus rout to a shelter we thought I might need to stay at for a night but luckily I was able to stay in the hospital an additional night under observation and St Alphonsos arranged for a medical transport van driver to take me back home to Baker City the next day after the storm passed. Their pharmacy was helpful in explaining how to take my heart meds and my surgery went flawlessly and by the book and my surgeon was very competent and professional. My only complaint is that for a few hours I was worried I would need to stay overnight in a homeless shelter to wait for the storm to pass but luckily since I was a National Guard vet I think they made an exception and let me stay overnight in my hospital room and get my strength back. I felt like they gave me VIP treatment all the way around.

Very sweet little office, these doctors took care of me great, even though I came in a little late, they tested me for everything just to be on the safe side and even gave me some snacks and juice at the end. All of them were very compassionate and gentle. I highly recommend this hospital, I wish I knew the names of all the ladies that helped me and there was also a super sweet long - red haired fellow, Very patient and funny. What a great team y’all have! Thank you so much for providing excellent support, keep up the amazing work guys!

The ER staff at Saint Alphonsus were most helpful in my recent visit there. Very friendly, helpful and efficient dealing with my painful abdominal condition. They kept me comfortable and advised of the progress they were making in diagnosing my condition. When that was determined, the follow up procedures were made very clear to me as was the advice to contact them immediately if I needed any further assistance.

Well Done Everyone!!

Everyone was professional, courteous and attentive. There are no urgent care centers around here and I'd scratched my cornea. I was worried about wasting their time in the ER with a less than life threatening injury, but i was not made to feel that way. The nurse even followed up to see how I was doing the following morning.

Dr. Richard's and all of the staff showed exceptional medical skills, bedside maner, and professionalism while meeting me on a personal level helping so solve an issue that manifested itself while we were traveling. Heck, I looked like someone cut my throat, but wasn't near that bad a 1 stitch issue.

At this point since we recently moved, I am looking for a new PC, it's just you guys are still 500 miles form our new home. Thanx for everything, we'll remember where you are!

They really seemed to care once I got passed the dreaded receptionist at the front desk of the ER. Everyone else was seriously amazing. I felt cared about and concerned about which is a very good feeling when feeling unwell. Thank you 🙏 seriously for all your help.

I brought my 88 year old father, who is a war veteran, into the ER. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. No waiting, even with the Covid19 nonsense going on, I was able to attend through the entire process. We were treated with kindness, patience and respect.
Thank you St. Alphonsus ER staff, for your excellence in public service.
