Badlands Frontier Cabins

The staff was very helpful.
The cabin had a nice feel, and a great view. Great location with access to the park and downtown Wall without being in the town so it was nice and queit. It is just off the highway. But no raid noise.
We have stayed here 3 times.

We had a great stay! Cabins are super clean and a great starting point for Badlands adventures. Laura and the staff provided wonderful service - they even gifted us a bottle of wine when we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. We had dinner and breakfast at their affiliated Badlands Saloon and both meals were great, especially considering limited options in the area. We’d highly recommend!

The cabin was wonderful. Super, super clean and comfy. I loved the bed and the water pressure in the shower. The location is absolutely perfect for a Badlands adventure. We were greeted with wonderful quality soaps and lotions at the sink in the room. It was winter so it was much appreciated.

You truly have everything you need…a grill, a kids play area, a mini fridge, iron board, 2 huge beds, and a hot shower. The staff were very helpful and were a text message away from quick support. We were recommended a restaurant, The Badlands Saloon & Grille. I had a steak that I almost cried while eating because it was soooo good. I can’t wait to come back again, but this time in the summer.

We spent the night here traveling from west to east. The cabins are lovely. Very clean and comfortable, the beds are exceptional! Each cabin is individual with a little porch. Laura at checkin was very friendly. Certain cabins are dog friendly which is very convenient for us. We’ll be back!

Check in was smooth. Rooms were clean and as pictured. Bigger than normal rooms in hotel. The host texted to see how we were doing after first night and responded immediately to questions. Perfect location..8 miles to Badlands National Park. The town of Wall was quaint and had lots of gift stores.

Clean, quaint and quiet. We visited at the beginning of April and despite Wall Drug not being busy it was obvious that for someone who doesn’t want to stay in the epicenter of Wall but wants to stay nearby this is the place. My only critique would be a little less apple air freshener, it was quite potent 😂

5 stars when compared to other options in Wall and other similar small towns in South Dakota.

We spent two nights in March 2024 during a road trip to visit national parks in SD, MT, and ND. It was cold, windy, and snowy outside when we stayed.

Cabin: The cabin was plenty warm with the heater/ac combo unit set to high. The beds were comfortable. The cabin was clean.

There is a small playground on site. Our 8 year old enjoyed himself.

Breakfast: No breakfast on site. Instead we were given cards to grab breakfast at a restaurant down the street. Options for free breakfast were pancakes, waffles, or biscuits and gravy. We have two celiac family members who had to order off the menu, paying full price.

Service: The staff checked on us via text message a few times, making sure everything was ok. We had a chirping smoke detector and told them about it. By the time we got back from visiting Badlands National Park, the battery had been replaced and the chirping stopped.

These cabins are so conveniently located to Badlands National Park! Clean and quiet cabins fit the bill perfectly for us! Had fun in Wall, too. Loved the coffee at Stompin Grounds!! Great stay.

Absolutely the best place to stay for visiting the Badlands. It is only a few minutes from the entrance. Easy check-in and the cabins are spotless. I wish all stays were as clean as
the Badlands Frontier Cabins. Highly recommended!

The most uniquely perfect place to stay anywhere near the Badlands! These individual cabins are not only appealing for their privacy and location, but absolutely gorgeous with the most comfortable beds! Loved it all!!

To begin, these are not luxury, large cabins. With that being said, they are fantastic. Very roomy for two people. Unlike other places you don't have to lay on the bed to watch TV. The cabins have plenty of space, they're in a great location. Parking is adequate for one vehicle. Breakfast not being on site is a bit of a shame, but eating across from the Wall Drug store was pretty neat and had a great menu outside of the complimentary options. We paid $140 for the night and have no issues with it.

My fiancé and I called Laura after hours on a Thursday afternoon from the side of the road after an encounter with a flat tire which completely derailed our (albeit poorly planned) camping trip! Laura was the most welcoming and accommodating host and completely rescued our little vacation. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

Excellent place for the price. Perfect for me, my wife and kids. We came from Massachusetts to visit the Badlands and if we ever go back this is where we are staying.

Awesome place with a great location. Quite, spacious and lovely decor. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting to visit Drug town. Only thing to keep in mind is that the breakfast here is served in a restaurant in town and the choices are very limited on what you get via complimentary aka biscuits and gravy or pancakes. Food choices in town also limited for breakfast.

Very cute, clean cabins close to badlands and Wall drugs. Lots of nice perks with the rental, like coupons for free breakfast at local restaurant, free drinks at another restaurant and 25 percent of local store all in downtown Wall. We definitely would stay again.

Loved this place. The cabins and property are clearly maintained with love and pride. They’re super clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and they have everything you’d need for a short stay or long vacation. The property management texts you throughout your stay if there are concerns or questions - it’s way more convenient than having to call or visit the front desk. It’s nice that they check in proactively.

Regarding food, there aren’t a ton of options in the area, but they do give you coupons for use at two of the local restaurants for free breakfast items and free alcoholic drinks with dinner. Both were very nice touches. We also took advantage of the discount at one of the local stores.

Oh, and the location is amazing. Turn right out of the parking lot and drive a few miles and you’ll run straight into the entrance of Badlands National Park. Turn left out of the parking lot instead, and you’re in Wall, where all the other stuff is.

My only regret here was not staying longer and spending more time here and at Badlands.

We stayed at Badlands Frontier Cabins during our visit to Badlands National Park. Check in was easy. The person at the desk was personable and answered all of our questions. The cabinets were quite nice and spotlessly clean. Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet.
It was a very nice departure from chain motels. I only gave us three for service as I only had one interaction and it was good. The location was convenient to the park.

The cabins are sparkling clean, cozy, and in a great location. Staff was super friendly and communication was effortless.

We loved our cabin! It was so much better than we expected. Super clean and comfortable. Wasn’t sure what to expect but we were SO happy we rented it. Was so nice to sit on the front porch and relax.

We came here last minute. And this place is amazing! I have bought coin purses that were hand made! I can't wait to send this to my niece in West Virginia! And I got one for myself! The cabins are beautiful and we loved sitting on the patio! And the employees are the most amazing people we have ever met!!
