let's start with the most important thing, excellent customer service. I've been a member elsewhere where I always got the impression I was hassling a staff member by asking them anything. At Simms, every staff member I've ever spoken with has been outstanding, most of all the owner who clearly sets a very high standard for customer service. Those same high standards have continued now that gyms can open back up. the staff is wonderful at explaining how to safely work out which I was dying to get back to, and very diligent in keeping a super clean and safe environment. they also have all the equipment I ever want, I've never seen it crowded and I can't stress enough how convenient it is to have an excellent gym right in the heart of downtown. If you work downtown like me, or even come anywhere near downtown I cannot recommend this gym enough. Five stars is absolutely deserved.

This is a great place for everyone! Staff is very welcoming and that creates a great vibe. This gym is very affordable while offering great equipment. From dumbells to squat racks, this gym has what you need to accomplish your goals. Lockers and showers are always clean, which is a plus. If you are looking for a gym in the downtown area this is the place for you.

Simms Fitness has a great student membership deal. The people that work there are awesome and helpful. The gym is a nice size - not overwhelming, and it has all the equipment I need. Down to business feel. It' s also really clean and the changing room is nice!

This is an affordable gym with great equipment and nice amenities. For anyone who lives or works in the downtown Albuquerque area this is by far your best choice. They also appreciate military and police. This is a great place to workout in a relaxed environment. Try it on a free trial membership and see.

Our office relocated last year in downtown and I came across Simms Fitness. I took a tour with colleagues and we were hooked. All of the weight equipment is brand new and there's a variety of cardio machines to mix things up (bikes, rowers, stairs, elliptical, etc.). They've also got an expanding option of classes, which is very nice. When my colleagues have gone in and needed help learning equipment or wanting pointers to challenge themselves, the staff has always been helpful to provide that one-on-one guidance.

The cost is very affordable for Albuquerque, but especially the downtown area (my insurance covers the membership, but would not have a problem paying the affordable cost if I didn't). They're centrally located on Gold/5th, have good hours, and every time you go in there's always a great vibe from staff and members alike (helps to keep you going on the occasion you find yourself needing that extra motivation). And to cap things off, you have access to the saunas.

I rarely do these reviews, but the gym has been a great thing to have downtown.

Simms Fitness is very convenient for me! I work at the Simms Building so I can walk right over after work. The evening and weekend staff is very friendly and greet me and my fiancé by our first names now. There are plenty of cardio machines so I never find myself waiting to use one. In addition, there is a sauna in the locker room! I plan on attending some of the classes soon. I wish they had more classes after 5:00 on the weekdays. Great gym and much more affordable and comfortable than Sports and Wellness.

I love this gym, the location is awesome, it boosts the "lifestyle" offerings for our little downtown that could. The classes are great - I love taking yoga with Elizabeth. She leads a well-rounded class, just the right amount of intensity, technique, and thoughtfulness. And when I can actually make the Latin Hip-Hop Cardio with Carlota I always have a great time. Its fast-paced and super fun. You barely realize that you're working super hard. And when I use the actual gym, I mostly do cardio and free weights. They have all the equipment to get the job done, and it's never so busy that I have to wait for anything. Also - I work at Tricklock Company a couple blocks away. A couple of us from there are members and they all agree this is a great place.

I've had memberships at almost every gym in Albuquerque whether it be sports and wellness, defined fitness, anytime, snap, planet, etc. and Simms is definitely one of my favorites. They have all of the gym equipment you need at a fair price, and the location is super convenient.

Quiet and super super clean! Members are also very good about disinfecting machines before and after use. The employees are just amazing as is the owner. Thank you for your hard work to keep your members safe

Just started at this gym and it's great!
You don't have to wait for a machine, it's a small community and people are there to work out. Love the environment!

This GYM has me looking like a Greek statue (not god yet) work in progress. New equipment. Clean. Plenty of space. The staff is friendly.
