Lum Thai Restaurant

We eat Thai food frequently at home in Atlanta and also often while traveling. Lum Thai was a lucky find while visiting Jacksonville for a family wedding weekend. What an amazing surprise to have such an excellent meal at a place that we actually just stumbled upon! Our party of 6 were all thoroughly impressed with the food and service. My Massaman curry, a dish that I order just about every time I eat Thai food, was the best I’ve ever had, seriously. Basil rolls, crab Rangoon, soups, and spring rolls were all delicious, too.

Had a couple hours in between work events and looked up local Thai Restaurants for lunch. Stumbled up find Lum Thai to try.

Traditional Thai menu options, I ordered the crispy spring rolls and Pad see ew with a diet coke. Also recieved a clear soup as an extra touch to lunch that I wasn't expecting.

The crispy spring rolls were unlike any I have had before, the taste was there but the fried part was different what I am used to. It was a bubbly crisp rather than a soft. Overall it was a tasty dish and beautifully plated.

Pad see ew, ordered it was beef. Loved the egg on top but felt the portion of beef was a bit scarce, maybe because it was the lunch portion. Flavor was rich and right on the money with how Pad see ew should be. The clear soup had such depth for a clear soup, I really enjoyed it.

Loved the little touches the restaurant adds to your meal like the heart straw wrapper and smiley face on the rice. It was playful & super cute. Made me feel special :).

Would definitely recommend to give a try!

The food is AMAZING!! Hands down some of the best Thai food I've had. The menu has many of the Thai staples. They customize your spice level to your preference. Thai spicy is HOTTTTT. The price is fair... it's consistent with industry standards for the cuisine. The portions are decent. They lean more towards the smaller side, so if you have a huge appetite, beware you may want to order additional items. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The plating is beautiful and festive. Service, while it's good, can be a little slow. The lady at the counter takes walk/call in orders, waits tables, and delivers food to the tables. She tried her absolute best to keep everyone in the restaurant happy. They are also very friendly. We were greeted coming in and thanked on our way out. We will definitely return to enjoy authentic fresh and flavorful Thai food!

A dimond in the rough, nestled in a little strip mall off of Argyle Forrest Blvd. I when you first walk in, you feel like you're in a different area. The decor inside is very nice and looks as if it has never been used. From every aspect that I could see, it is kept magnificently clean. Not knowing exactly what I wanted, the waitress was very helpful with explaining my questions about the menu. I ordered a mango sweet tea to drink and the Pad Thai with medium heat for my meal. My tea came out with the lemon looking like a little shrimp. The mango flavor was very good in the tea, not overwhelming just enough of a hint to give it that nice flavor. The Pad Thai arrived with the steam rolling off of it. The presentation of the dish was visually appealing. The first taste was pure delight, good flavor, and just the right amount of heat. After a couple of bites, I mixed in the crushed nuts, squeezed on the lime, and shredded the carrot flower over the Pad Thai, giving the whole thing that much more flavor. As I sat and ate my meal, I could hear the people behind me commenting on their meals and how good they were. After finishing my dinner, I opted for the Mango Sticky Rice for my dessert. Not ever having it before, I must say all of the flavors joined together work together to make a wonderful medley of flavors. All aspects of this restaurant are great, I will definitely be returning again.

We went for late lunch and had the dining room to ourselves. The food was great! Every single thing we had including sauces were divine. I had the drunken noodles and my husband the Basil fried rice we both asked for medium spicy. They were spicier than normal but it was the really tasty heat that you want from a dish. The lady working was nice. Only half of my noodles made it home!

This was seriously the best food. Came here after seeing other good reviews and I can confirm the food tasted so good. Nice quite and cozy lunch spot. Throughly enjoyed my meal. Food presentation was a nice bonus!

I devoured my food before getting a good pic. This place doesn’t miss. The atmosphere, the music, the staff, and the food. Everything is perfect. They really deserve more business. I can tell they also put a lot of effort into presentation on plates. Even the straw paper is folded to make a cute little heart. Love everything about this place.

My family travels all over the country with my husband for work. This restaurant is one of our most absolute favorite places to eat and one if the very best Thai restaurants. They are also Celiac friendly. I have yet to have one dish from here that wasn't lovely. And the service is wonderful. Such a pleasure all around

Restaurant is very clean and stylish. Service is good. We ordered lunch menu, small portion but flavors are so good! Love the special spice in red curry. The soup is awesome as well, great choice for appetizer. Drunken noodles is a little bit salty, other than that, everything is great. They even style the water straw cover! What a surprise lol

The food here is authentic and amazing! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy ambience and flavorful Thai cuisine.

Everything was perfect! Portion sizes were great, service was excellent, prices were very good, and the presentation of everything was phenomenal. For fans of spice, I got Thai hot and the spice tray that was brought out with entrees had 4 delicious sauces and chili oils. We will definitely be returning! I have visited many Thai restaurants in Jacksonville and this one is by far the best priced and most delicious place of them all.

This place might be my new favorite Thai restaurant. The sweetest lady greeted us, she was very attentive! The food was sooo delicious and the presentation of the food was so cute! If I wasn’t so hungry I would’ve just stared at the food instead! Lol. Not only was it cute and delicious the portions were also VERY generous. Well deserved 5 stars 🤩🌟

A little pricey but food well present and taste good

Best Thai food that I have had in a while. Hard to find a good place in Jacksonville. This is. My second time here and it is delicious.

They are small family running the business. The food is tased exactly like when I had in Thailand. Everytime, I’m craving for the authentic Thai I always come here. It has never disappointed.

They have the option of “Thai hot” level which will really bring you the authenticity of Thailand! I’m an Asian and lived in Asia almost my whole life so I know what I’m talking about. We had the recommended green curry and mixed vegetables, both entrees come with rice. While the food was sumptuous, their Thai iced tea was a little too diluted for my liking. Other than that, a great experience and I would definitely come back again.

The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The atmosphere and look of the place is very classy and relaxing, and the staff is incredibly friendly as well. The food came out quickly and was presented in a very pleasing way. My husband and I had the calamari and the fresh basil spring roll to start. For entrees, I had the pad Thai with quid, and he had the sweet and sour with squid and jasmine rice. The only reason we didn't also get dessert is because we were too full from everything else! The portion sizes are incredibly filling, and you're definitely paying for what you get. We will be back again for sure!

Wow…Just wow! Today was my first time trying Lum Thai and I am amazed that the quality of the authentic Thai dishes. The food is fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend the Green Papaya Salad and the Pumpkin Custard. Thank you!

Really glad my parents took me here. The Thai iced coffee and iced tea is amazing. We ordered the spring rolls, egg rolls, and chicken satay and it was all very good. The service is so friendly and this is easily my favorite place to eat around here. Will come over and over again!

Update: I still love this place and my family and I still come here all the time!

This place is always AMAZING !! Great service, good price, beautiful attention to details, and most importantly, GREAT food! This is my 3rd time coming here and it’s perfect every single time. I definitely recommend the chicken pad thai for only $13!
