Incredible park first of al for its landscape and picturesque design. Second is amasing banyon trees you definitely want to stick your eye to, they look like in a fantasy film. The park is very cosy and calm place to relax. And it looks it is fully for locals from the nearby Coral Gables neighbourhood.

Finding that place was an accident and a delightful surprise on a way to Fairchild Botanical Garden. If you love Banyan trees this place is for you! It has few magnificent banyans, a meadow ,few benches and playground for kids. Because it is in a neighborhood there were very few visitors or tourists.

We were on our way to Matheson Hammock Park to play on the beach and seen the enormous trees.
We had to stop.
We had never seen trees like this before and they are absolutely amazing.
Parking is a bit if an issue for a visitor. There is no parking lot for visitors to the neighborhood.
Still if you are in the area I would highly recommend a visit.

What a great and amusement park, really good for kids and pets, wide open with giantnormus trees, also with a playground for the kids, very quiet, a lot of sightseeing birds, and very clean, is in the hearth of Coral Gables and very friendly neighborhood, very well recommended. It's near to a wide variety of different commerces.

Beautiful park. The large trees, especially the banyan tree, are gorgeous. Relaxing place to hang out and enjoy nature.

Very large and beautiful trees. Clean air, beautiful park. The only problem is leaving the car. There are very few spaces in the parking lot.

I went for the children's play area and was very happy with the experience. It's a fenced in area with 2 play structures based on kids ages. I do like they had shade over the structures I only wish it was able to cover more area. It's a small shade, but does help. The swings are outside the fenced in area which was a little disappointing but understandable. The trees in the front of the park were fun to run around in too. I'd recommend this park and go back when I'm in the area again.

Very nice park. Big and spacious playground. Plus big space for running around. You can ride your bike or play soccer if you want too. My kid had a really good time.

This is a great little "sunken" park that I used to go to as a kid and still go to enjoy picnics with friends and family. Very family friendly and has a little playground. Finding parking can be a little difficult because its such a great place. Park is big enough where many people still don't crowd the park.

Where is it Christmas every day of the year in Coral Gables? At Merrie Christmas Park of course. Randall Norton "Randy" Christmas was the Mayor of Miami from 1955-1957. He must have quite the sense of humor to name his daughter Merrie. Not so funny was the fact that Merrie passed away at the age of 15 in 1969 and her father named the park in her honor.

In 2014 the city of Miami discovered toxic metals at the park and shut it down for the next 2 years. Clean up of the park cost over a million dollars. Today the park is open and is a popular destination for the people who live in the neighborhood. The park has giant banyan trees and a large open area perfect for play. Other park amenities include an exercise path, picnic tables, and a playground. On the evening I visited people were having a party, kids were playing on the playground, and dogs were running across the lawn. This is a beautiful spot for the community of Coral Gables to gather.

Revisted this park after Covid and many years of not going back. Been taking my daughter here since she could walk, she's now 14, we got to climb the same trees since she was little, I love this park, it's a true gem and the trees are very special.
