Pulmonary Physicians of South Florida

For the most part, as a New Yorker, I have a hard time finding good doctors for me and my family. My son is special needs who has recently fought pneumonia and apparently developed asthma and it was hard to find a pulmonologist that would take his insurance. I went to another doctor in the area and it was a horrible experience from the moment we stepped foot in the square box they called a waiting area. While this facility has a small waiting area (and small overall) it was super clean, the facility was modern, the front office staff was timely and professional. They even answer emails and get back to you quickly when you have questions. Their website is up-to-date and has the forms you need so you can fill them out BEFORE you get there. The PA came in first actually spoke with us and took her time, then the doctor came in Dr. Vazquez also took the time to talk with us, etc. While the other doctor I saw dismissed us as if we were overreacting, this doctor understood our concern and agreed on labs, xrays, etc. Overall, we are pleased with the service we have received thus far.

Great Sleep center, i took my husband for a sleep study and we had a great experience, i was able to stay with him and the staff was very polite and kind, also very profesional. We got the results within a week. Would definitely recomend this center

I had a good experience at this facility. My technician was very helpful and knowledgeable. The environment is clean and very comfortable, conducive for restful sleep. I would recommend this facility.

Son excepcionales, desde los médicos, enfermeras, personal de atención al paciente, TODOS son atentos, humanos, serviciales, amables, y hacen sentir al paciente como en su casa. Estuve muy muy acertada al elegir este centro para la atención de mi salud pulmonar. GRACIAS a todos los que de una forma u otra, nos brindan la mejor atención y su amabilidad.

For years, this agency was on the ball, but now have been doing a poor job lately. I made a confirmed complaint on their Facebook page how when I made a payment, they not only paid the FULL AMOUNT when I clearly stated to the customer rep that I wanted to make a PARTIAL PAYMENT but then the representative did not confirm the email I had on file and sent my RECORDS to someone else's email address! HIPAA violation. I have made another payment, and though this rep confirmed, they struggled with the numbers on my card to pay. Don't understand how you can have a billing department with recent customer representatives who struggle with numerical recognition? Please train or improve the standards and qualifications.

Auhfull service. No punctuality on appointments.
They want to charge you co payment to ask a doctor a question.
Front area person claim to be the supervisor wants to answer questions as if she is a doctor.
They want you to disclose your medical history without providing any assistance even something as simple as a second opinion diagnosis.
A person by the name of marilorie should train herself in customer service.
Terrible experience.

Was refuse appointment because I had a pulmonologist over 5 years ago. DR's may be good BUT I will NEVER know.

I just call to get an appointment with Dr Brenda Gonzalez . I have chronic Bronchitis, asthma and nodules in my lungs. My primary has been treatment me for years with the same medications since is always the same Bronchitis with the first cold front. This time she require for me to see a Pulmonologist since I already had two rounds of Z pack and prednisolone and I'm also having PVCs very often. She had order Ct scans of my lungs and Pulmonary Function Studies, labs work (WBC way high) also I already saw a Cardiologist and yes my left ventricular electric is off and recommended 3 weeks of monitoring. I also have been in the ER due with shortness of breath and PVC's in the last week. So this time is a little more serious and in NEED of a pulmonologist

I have call numerous pulmonologist and all are 3 month to see me and others are not taking new patients because they are retiring. I kept going down my list until I call DR Brenda Gonzalez list and I was told she or any other DR from the Pulmonary Physicians of South Fl can not see me because I saw a Pulmonologist over 5 years go. I explained he does not take my insurance anymore. As a nurse I have NEVER seen such an excuse to NOT take a new patient. So I understand being professional and NOT taken a patient from another DR BUT this DR can NOT see me anymore due to my insurance . Your policy needs a littler review, a simple phone call to the previews DR is all is needed to ask if is OK to take the new patient because of insurance or maybe location, there are many other reasons that you guys are not taking in consideration. I for one will never see any of your DR's or referred them to any of my friends.
