Del Carmen Mexican Store & Restaurant

Food was delicious hands down! Fresh and of great quality. We had the guacamole with cheese dip + beans. Their salsa was so fresh and so good! Also had the Mojita (fried tilapia) and that was SO good. Portions are generous and prices reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. One of the best Mexican restaurants in this area 👌🏽

We had a great time at this place with friends. The food was authentic and fresh tasting. The atmosphere was warm and inviting for this kind of restaurant. My only complaint is that our booth along the front windows we're very dark and gloomy. I enjoy mood lighting but this was just lack of light period. Other than that, the food was great and so was the service. Great prices for what we got. The chips and salsa were unique tasting as well. Parking was on the street in front of the restaurant, but I'm sure you can find more parking spot near by if it's busy. The Food shown in the pictures represents the following dishes, 3 tacos, Gordian platter, and chicken fajitas.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. To bad it's an hour drive from my house... premium burritos is my favorite that stuffs me.

This is a Mexican restaurant in downtown Dade City. They have a nice selection of both authentic and Tex-mex Mexican food. They offer daily lunch specials and serve beer, wine, and cocktails. Great ambiance and a market is connected to the restaurant.

I love the Chicken Chimichanga at Del Carmen! I’ll drive out of my way to visit this restaurant every time. Real comfort food for me! Service was fast and hot.

3 years later update: Still my favorite Chicken Chimichanga period!

As close to Mexico as we've found, well worth the hour plus drive for us. Food is excellent, prices reasonable. When we arrived around noon, we were the only gringos in the place. Even though there were several large groups (more than 12 people in each) our food arrived quicker than we expected. And they have sangria! We were too full for dessert, but the grocery/bakery as part of it has flan, donuts, and apple danish- like desserts. I think every chair and bench has a different carved and painted design. Highly recommend.

I had the tamal platter and my husband had the enchilada platter. Both were very good. Service was good and the overall atmosphere was nice. Loved the painting on the wall and the tables and chairs painted were fun. We would definitely go back. Prices are reasonable.

We came again for dinner and were not disappointed. Food and service was good. I would recommend eating here.

Whenever I'm in Dade City, I always go to Del Carmen's.
Right away you get complimentary chips and salsa. I came in hungry so that was really nice.
Per the hostess recommendation, I got the enchilada with ground beef platter. The portion was huge, the presentation was beautiful and the mashed beans were amazing. However, it seemed a bit bland. I believe they gave me red sauce but
perhaps it would have been better with ranchero or poblano sauce. I'm not familiar with the different options.
Next we got ice cream. There are so many ice creams of exotic fruits I'd never heard of. I got the guava ice cream which was sweet but with a bit of peppery spice. It was really nice and a steal for $2.

This is my family's go to for Mexican in the area. The food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly. I've tried so many different things on the menu and everything is a winner. Also the best margarita in Dade City is found here!

I eat here on a regular basis and I've never had a bad meal. I've tried a lot of there entrees but The breakfast skillet is kind of a Hidden Gem get a side of queso with it and it is amazing

By far my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Their salsa Verde is made with what tastes like fire roasted Chile's. My wife ordered the chicken and steak fajitas! 🤯 Mind blowing So good! I ordered the sopa de pollo and it too was outstanding! I also ordered a Chile rellenos and the only thing is I wished it came out piping hot! But still outstanding. There is even a store for food and clothing. We will definitely be back! Our waiter Miguel was outstanding as well!

First time but won’t be my last. Mango margarita and Birria tacos were delicious. Fajitas were served fresh and steaming with a very large portion

Simply amazing. Ordered tacos and flan. So yummy. The restaurant decor was so cute. I loved it. Good music. Clean. Nice bathrooms. 10/10 hands down.

Mexican food. In a way its a litte bit of both Authentic Mexican food and a hint of tex-mex.

Location: Inside a shopping strip parking in front on road and a full lot around back. Restaurant is attached to Mexican mini mart. Restaurant is pretty big can accommodate both large families and smaller parties. Probably the nicest decor you will see in a mexican restaurant. Everything screams authentic Mexico!

Service: always top notch! Quick greeting when arrival and seating. Waiters are quick to place orders and follow up on your table.

Food: so far all food we’ve enjoyed on our many visits have been absolutely awesome. I am big on the mexican beans its the first thing i try if they suck most likely the rest of the food will. Its my make or break. Well the beans here are 100% fire! Breakfast burrito with chorizo is great.

Very authentic Mexican food in the middle of Central Florida. The decoration is unique, tables and chairs including. You can learn about the great mexicans celebrities just looking at the walls ans chairs. The food is very good and the staff super nice and helpful. They also have a great store with mexican goods. A nice surprise.

The food was absolutely amazing! I had beef head tacos and they melt in your mouth! Very authentic and clean

Restaurant and store you can get fresh meat, vegetables, really friendly atmosphere all the employees were awesome
