Gecko’s Grill & Pub

Sit on the patio overlooking the pond. We were delighted by egret and a great blue herring. We thought we saw an alligator but it turned out to be lily pads. The service was patient and kind. The food was very good.

Stopped in for a quick dinner before a show at the nearby Performing arts center. Food was good. I had a flatbread. Others in my party had a BLT, patty melt, blackened grouper and a BBQ & Mac and cheese bowl. ( I had a taste of this..it was good.) Everyone liked their food.

Service was fast and efficient. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere.

A cool thing...they had some sort of robotic server. It didn't serve us but it was cool to watch move about.

Great sports bar in the Sarasota area. Excellent wings and libations. Fun time when the robot waiter brings out your food from the kitchen, for the waiter to serve you. Give it a try.

My partner and I went up to Sarasota, a few days to get away from the madness of Miami. We found Gecko’s Grill since it was pretty near the hotel, our experience was a very pleasant and enjoyable one. Food and drinks were good; however, the service and attention from our server Al as well as the manager Adam was amazing, they were very professional and charming. Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish!

Wanted to share an excellent experience my wife and I had today there for lunch. Excellent customer service from the start all the way through our meal, thank you! A beautiful smiling face opened the door and greeted us as we walked in. We were promptly seated around 1pm for lunch. Our server greeted us with a friendly smile and the food was wonderful. Great food, service, and experience. Great job & thank you!

We were there to celebrate a family birthday. Our waiter was excellent, made sure we had a good time. Food and service were excellent. I had the beer-battered fish fry, delicious. Each of us had a seafood dish and enjoyed our meals. The sweet potato fries with apple butter for dipping are a must!!
We will be back!

We were seating quickly and had our server Leah come right over. Drinks were served quickly.
We had the chips with a tasty dip and fried pickles which we're tasty.
We then had the boom boom shrimp taco's and the turkey wrap. Both were very good. The portions were good especially for the price.
The TVs are well positioned to watch the games. The resturant had a nice atmosphere.
We will definetly return.

One of our favorite places for lunch. Food is always good service is great. Ordered fish and chips, wow look at the size of it. Enough for 2 people and it was very good. Food was hot and tasty, that's why it's one of our favorites.

Great food. My fam/ friends recommend the reuben, chicken sandwiches, and bang bang shrimp. We assume the entire menu is great! Super friendly staff, they seemed to genuinely care a lot about the guests. Also bonus points for the cool robot food runner & gecko toys they give to little kids to play with

The food is exceptional! Everyone had a great meal. Super busy, but they still maintained good service. It is easy to get to from our hotel across the street as well. Odd robots (seriously) help to transport food to the tables. Fun atmosphere, but not too loud. Nicely decorated. Clean. Definitely would eat here again.

Just wanted a basic fun casual bar-type restaurant to eat at. A friend recommended this place so we gave it a try. There were
Lots of screens to watch popular games. There were drinks specials and beer at reasonable prices. We orders d nachos for 4 peopleand there was plenty of everyone. The food was tasty and the variety was good from sandwiches to tacos, soups, salads, and entrees and you could pick your sides. I will definitely come back.

There were 10 of us and they were excellent in how they seated and served us. The staff were so nice and everything about the lunch was fantastic. We had salads and salmon and a variety of lunches, each of us said it was a 5 star. The food and salads were fresh, every dish was cooked perfectly and we were all very happy with the large portions and quality of the food and service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I frequent this particular Geckos for lunch often and sit at the bar. Marissa is the best bartender in Sarasota! She is so good at her job and has exceptional customer service skills. She is a hard worker and can handle a full bar plus some tables without missing a beat, she keeps everyone happy and their drinks full. The food is excellent and consistent, they all do a wonderful job there, I highly recommend this restaurant!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gecko's Grill & Pub. The food and drinks were excellent. The view of the adjacent pond when eating outside was beautiful and relaxing. The wait staff were adequately attentive and efficient. If we are back in the Sarasota area, we will make it a point to stop in at Gecko's!

There's always a challenge of trying new places when there are so many "been to's" in the area that we love to visit.

That challenge is even more ...challenging, when we decide to try a new "grill & pub" or sports bar themed location. We have all been to so many other places that are all the same thing with just different names. The food is the same, the bar is the same, the entire atmosphere is the same. Well, finally we find on e that is just different enough to make us want to come back.

Greeted promptly upon arrival at seated immediately. Server, Brian, was on the spot for the drink order.

Atmosphere is typical, yes, but a little more relaxed. Wasn't as noisy as other places. Plenty of TV's to keep up with the day's sporting events.

The menu is extensive and pleasantly varied from other sports bars. Gecko's has a competition in progress with their "Chef" staff. An Iron Chef competition, as they are promoting it. I assume this location's Chef is in line to win as the Iron Chef Vickie menu has some awesome treats listed.

I opted to try her Drunken Grouper Tacos (serving of 3). Beer battered grouper filets (yes, filets, not bits, chunks or scraps) in a Jack Daniel's Glaze with cabbage and Pico all in a flour tortilla. Simply amazing. Perfectly cooked, big portion, and great balance of flavors. Served with a bowl of black beans over rice topped again with Pico.

She had the BBQ Brisket Mac Bow. Wow, what a massive portion! Brisket was thinly sliced and cooked perfectly. Nice balance of flavors and not overdone with the cheese and onion straws.

In a world of human service, it was funny to watch a robot server in action. Yes, I said robot. Looks like they are experimenting with a robot that delivers the food to the table. Unfortunately, the robot delivered the food to the wrong table. Ah yes, no matter how much we become dependent on technology, there is still nothing better than good old fashioned human interaction. My suggestion, chuck the robot and keep it human (even though it's incredibly difficult to find good hires these days).

The manager came over to check on us and delivered to-go boxes and even told us the best way to reheat our leftovers. What incredible service! The staff was overall attentive filling drinks and getting our large party's food out in an orderly fashion. Great casual lunch dining with a large menu to choose from.

Went here with friends, sat on patio by pond, server excellent, food good. Enjoyed our lunch, will return.

Good food with a nice atmosphere. We had a late lunch with friends. There is a good food selection. My husband and I both had the grouper sandwich. I had it fried and he had blackened. Both were great.

I usually take a food picture. The Southwestern Salad was amazing. I got it with blackened chicken, side of guacamole and sour cream. So much chicken and huge chunks. A lot of textures and tastes. Crunchy, tiny bit sweet, fresh and really a lot of food! I could have shared half and walked away full. Beautiful outside patio what I could see. Stellar service and was asked if everything was to our satisfaction. ..by two different...hands on...upper management personnel. Ran like a well oiled machine and they were slammed. Food came quickly, was hot and delicious. Made us... a party of 3..feel very welcome.... you will enjoy❣ (averaged about $15.00 per person without drinks) we had a late lunch...

First time here...but definitely not my last. Great place with awesome food. Service was excellent...AND the server was very nice and cute. Thank you Alexis for taking care of us and making recommendations. 😁
