Original review: Ate here yesterday. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. Love it, probably going back again today!

Update: Revisited 5 years later, a few days after returning from a trip to CDMX. Closest thing in Sarasota to Mexico City tacos. Tortillas are grilled with a little fat from the meat to make them crispy in the edges. The cabeza is probably the best taco in Sarasota.

The taco stand outside of the store that is only there on weekends is awesome. Been looking for a place that serves al pastor tacos that this. Is definitely not well known to a lot of people since is only during nights on weekends, but it is worth the trip.

We have been coming here for many years and it is the BEST Mexican restaurant for authentic food. Very friendly service and clean environment. My kids love the weekend outdoor taco nights. Sometimes the have the best roasted corn on weekends also. They also have fresh juices and desserts and fresh groceries. We love to support this local moms and pops business. Although we do not speak Spanish, we have never had any issues..always friendly service.

It’s hard to find authentic Mexican tacos. This place has AMAZING tacos, gringas, birria de borrego, consomé, lengua, delicious cebolla asada and chiles toreados. Their salsas are not very spicy but they are flavorful.
The micheladas (inside) “look great” I haven’t tried them, yet.

Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican tacos (outside) and cuisine (inside). Especially on the weekends Friday - Sunday, 4pm -12am.
Come closer to 6:00 pm when they have the avocado salsa outside.

Great authentic tacos and nicely priced. Friendly service and they never disappoint. The food is delicious 😋! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.

This place is a great combination of both restaurant and supermarket. The huevos rancheros make for a yummy breakfast. I always enjoy getting tacos here and the agua frescas are really good too.

Horrible service my Second time there nasty attitude, no people skills no experience on customer service. never going back there.

Nice place, the food counter has excellent food. Ingredients are exceptionally fresh here, love the tostada's, quesadillas and taco's 🌮.

This restaurant is a welcomed break from big chain establishments. The food is authentic, and as much as I enjoy the comfort of places like Chipotle, and Tijuana Flats, this is how tacos are supposed to be made. The decor is full of culture, and feels homey. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Happy to see a place like this thriving!

Great Cafe inside with authentic Mexican cuisine.

If you haven't been in a while, make sure to go again! The food is authentic, well seasoned, and they really updated the place. The pan dulce is also fresh, just the right amount of sweetness. It took me right to my childhood. The birria burrito was juicy and flavorful, the lengua was perfectly tender (and the meat to "other" ratio is exactly what you want). Can't wait to try the chiles rellenos next!

The lengua and cabeza are the best I've had in Florida. Service is great. If their is a line it moves quick. It has a fresh fruit drink bar and I've never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend this place.

I’m so impressed with this store. So clean & well organized. The produce selection is excellent. The meat case was full of delicious options and looked so fresh & amazing. Great looking fresh shrimp, too. The baked goods were a great variety. I’m going back to get some! I had to restrain myself today. 😆
I ate the birria tacos & esquites. Very good.

This is as Authentic as you can get next to Mexico.I know,I was raised next to the boarder of Mexico in San Diego and I know what real Mexican food taste like. It's no tex Mex it's the real deal,good prices.

I love this place friendly staff the food is always 5 star the carnitas just fantastic. The Al Pastor undescribable simply awesome. Next time I'm going to get the Menudo looked delicious maybe I'll get the Lengua burrito 🌯I saw your guys on SSN way to go best market in SW FL.

When you enter, parece como estas en México. But the tacos… try the al pastor. I felt like I was sitting curbside in a Pueblo inhaling street tacos. Tan rico I almost got three more. Hasta mañana

I go here regularly for their meats and fresh produce. they also have a nice Restruant inside that has fresh pressed juices and homemade ice cream. I love the place and it’s clean.

I stop here at least once a week. They have the most amazing paletas! Creamy smooth sweet sugary goodness frozen on a stick. I bought 40 of them recently for a company event and they were a huge hit. Support this place!

GREAT MEXICAN FOOD!!!
If your hungry when you get there you won't be after you eat. Large portions. Reasonably priced. There's too much to tell you about, you just have to stop in there and see what they got. A lot of items that are hard to find.
Pots, pans, cookers. It is a small little grocery store, produce, meat market and restaurant.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Eat in or take home or to work.
