Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria

January 2024, early evening. Photos are of top floor area. People who worked there were nice. Cocktails and pizza were fantastic! Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with tables spaced out perfectly. Dress up or dress down, either way you’re good. There’s outdoor, covered seating too. The pizza is Italian style, which means it’s a little softer than those who like to eat with their hands would like, but I didnt find it overly greasy. The flavor is exceptional and their website says they make a lot of food in house and get ingredients from Italy (not sure which ingredients besides tomatoes). A lot of the low star reviews give this place a hard time for its “sogginess” but that’s what this kind of pizza is (tho tbh I wouldn’t use that term) and its best to eat with a fork and knife. Additionally, the prices are more than fair (approx $18-$20 a large pizza). My only frustration is parking. Not sure if I’m missing something about that, but luckily we came at a time where we could park in the government parking lot next door. Other times I haven’t been as lucky. I was born and raised in CT, known for its pizza (I’ve had a lot of New Haven pizza) and personally I think Bavaro’s exceeds those places, in my humble opinion.

The Ricotta Meatballs were delicious, The Ravioli al Formaggi with Vodka sauce was some of the best I have had in Years! The wood fired pizza fabulous.
You really need to reserve your table and dine her ASAP!

Che delizia! The pizza was so good! Chewy, thick crust, perfect balance of sauce and mozzarella. Just perfect! We got the broccolini as an appetizer, which were delicious too (didn't expect parmigiano and lemon juice to pair so nicely!) And the AMB 5 cocktail just became my new favorite cocktail. A must try, if you're into old fashioned style with added bitter. Perfetti sapori di casa!

Host, waiter- all were very pleasant, accommodating. Best Pasta Ala Vodka I've had! Food was really fresh and hot, delicious. Drinks were great. Looking forward to going back soon.

Went to Bavaro’s tonight for dinner and can’t say enough good things. The ambiance, the service was top notch, the chairs so comfortable and the food was absolutely delicious.
Our server Steven (I hope that was his name) was beyond professional and I couldn’t ask for better. Prices are fair and the wine list is inviting. Had a lovely super Tuscan with my penne with vodka sauce and shrimp. You could literally taste every delicious layer of flavor in this sauce.
My boyfriend had the wild grilled salmon and we split the roasted broccolini for an appetizer. Completed with two home made delicious cannoli’s to go.
Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the salmon but it was cooked perfectly and a huge piece of salmon (like 8oz)

Will definitely be back and absolutely encourage anyone looking for real authentic Italian to check it out.

The food was absolutely astonishing!!! The pizza and tiramisu tastes like they were straight from Italy. I wouldn’t add anything to their dishes they were perfect as they were. The Italian chopped salad we ordered was a great big portion and tasted amazing. The pizza was unbelievably good! We got the margarita with chicken and man that tasted like heaven in my mouth! For dessert we opted for the tiramisu and it was unbeatable, it tasted like the true and REAL tiramisu I’ve tried in Europe! No matter if you’re a foodie or just coming along you’ll find something to suit your fancy and fill your stomach with Italian goodness!

Amazing pizza, everyone enjoyed their Wild Funghi, Margherita and deliciously spicy Diavola! Will be coming back for their delicious looking pasta dishes.

Great place in every way. Staff was great, the pizza was amazing & outside seating was perfect. The mushroom pizza was delicious & we'll be back for sure!

We found this place by mistake, and boy, are we glad we did! The restaurant is super cute, has outside seating, indoor seating, and upstairs. Our food was so yummy. We had a Margherita pizza and an Americano pizza. The drinks were fabulous as well. Our server, Doug, was a gem! He was super attentive and really funny. A definite must go.

Hosted a baby shower there recently on a Sunday. Chelsea made everything so easy for us, we had the entire patio with an amazing charcuterie spread followed by the best pizza. All of the guests loved the food and location, and they even arranged for a musician who really made the party so classy. Would definitely recommend hosting your next event here.

Came here looking for a new place in town.. was not disappointed! The food was excellent(I had the cioppino), staff was friendly, and the live music was great! The one issue was parking as there is barely any.. Recommended!

This is my 2nd visit to Bavaro’s and I am always impressed. The Manager Joe was wonderful and checked on us and made sure we were pleased with everything which we absolutely were. The waiter we had was a guy I didn’t catch his name but he was great as well. We started with the meatballs and the broccolini. Love the meatballs and the fresh ricotta and the sauce. The broccolini was fresh and perfectly cooked. For dinner me and my husband had the ravioli in vodka sauce. WOW! Perfectly executed and their vodka sauce is one of a kind a slight spicy kick was perfection. My father in law had the funghi rigatoni and MiL had the salmon. The love their meals too. I can’t wait to go back again!

First time dining and really enjoyed our meal and experience. Drinks were delicious and our pasta dishes were super tasty and cooked perfectly. Our server, Julia, was excellent even though it was only her 2nd day! Will definitely return for live music.

Amazing! We came here for a dinner and as soon as we walked in, the air was filled with positive energy with kind hostess and waiters! As a starter, we got the verde arugula salad and chicken wings, which was absolute delicious! The arugula was crisp and fresh along with the chicken wings savory and crisp taste. Later we order a kids cheese pizza and the margarita which was also delicious! The pizza dough was soft and fluffy. Will definitely be coming back!

Great food, spaghetti dish and ravioli dishes we both delicious. Tasted fresh and homemade. Our waiter was very helpful and kind as well. We ate upstairs and had a very comfortable table with great atmosphere. Would definitely come back.

Amazing customer service and attention to detail! Everything was delicious! We had a birthday party here and Bavaros was kind enough to host us and they were on their A game all night! We had so much fun and are so much good food! Such a beautiful setting as well!

We stopped by here last night for some cocktails and a quick bite of food. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance outside was really nice. The fire outside was perfect since it was a little chilly out. Chelsey the manager was top notch. The drinks and food came out quick and we’re equally delicious. Definitely recommend.

Bavaros in downtown Sarasota is amazing! I love the decor and the food is excellent. We enjoyed the Sangria, meatball appetizer, tre-carne pizza (delicious) and ended with raspberry amoretto tiramisu which should be permanently on the menu. Also, great service (thank you Chelsea) and friendly staff! We’ll be back.

The whole experience was great. I gave the service a 5, even though they had no barback for the bartender, Doug, who was tending to the servers' orders, plus the bar and waiting the tables in his room. We saw him going upstairs to refill his bar. He was the bomb and absolutely delightful. Manager could have made his life a lot easier with a barback. The whole experience was really lovely, though, and we'll return!
