Cat Hospital of Sarasota

This is the best place to go to get vet care for your cat. The reason is is that cats are their speciality. If you have urgent issues they do their best to fit you in. As I always tell the staff “you know cats!” The hospital is geared only toward cats so no dogs in waiting room which is a plus for my cat.

Dr. King is our vet. He is very kind and knowledgeable. I am a very overprotective cat Mom and I find his demeanor calm and reassuring. The vet techs (esp Carly) are all nice and caring. My cat is now a senior and has health issues and they are well-versed in senior cat care.

The office staff is a great asset to this practice. Ellen (manager) is phenomenal and she really cares. She puts her heart and soul into the work. Leslie is lovely as well and super helpful. Stephanie always has a smile for the clients.

All the front office folks are good.

Highly recommend and I will not take my precious feline anywhere else!

If you are looking for a vet for your feline friend, this is definitely the place. Everyone there seems to have a special love and understanding of cats. We brought our sweet 14 year old and not so sweet 9 year old kitties to see Dr. King, he and his assistant were kind, caring and patient with both of them. I would never bring them back to a 'regular' vet again!

These Doctors are amazing! My cat coco is 17 years old. She has arthritis and stage 2 kidney disease. As well as an absess she just had to get removed. They are so loving towards her and always make me comfortable when asking my questions about her being a senior cat now. 10/10 recommend this place. Especially for your kitty it’s great to have a cats only space where they’re not stressed out as much with dogs or anything else. They’re really great at taking care of them as well when we need to board both of my cats!

Finding the right vet for our babies is so important. I have been coming here for years and Dr. Smith is our favorite veterinarian. She is very experienced and doesn’t over sell anything. Sydney has great bedside manors, and the front desk staff is very consistent with appointment reminders and calling to check on everyone after their visit. They are reasonable priced and I highly recommend to anyone who has cats.

The care team at CHS that helped us- Dr. Lukowski, Sydney, Stephanie and Leslie, were welcoming, efficient and demonstrably caring in their care of our elder cat. Dr. Lukowski did a wonderful service in examining, treating and informing us of the condition of our cat, as well as making a referral to likely the top oncology/internal medicine veterinary specialist in Sarasota.
From reception to clinical the whole team is expert and amiable, and definitely love your cat!!

I take both my kitties there and they are so kind and gentle with them. Truly a place for cats, no scary noises or dogs to frighten them. Great people who really care.

Great doctor & great staff

Their prices are a bit higher than the average clinic, but well worth it for the quality and attentive care. If you have a beloved cat with health concerns and you want a diagnosis done right the first time, this is the place to go.

I just had to take time to share my experience today when I took my elderly neighbor to the Cat Hospital for medication her cat. She is on a fixed income struggling financially and took this cat on for an elderly friend that died and now the cat has issues. When approached for generic brand medication to help her payment the generosity of the doctor was to take care of the medication in honor of a donation to a pet organization. How can you thank the Cat Hospital enough for such a generous act of kindness! My neighbor and I are beyond words of gratitude. So please, if you need care for for cat consider the kindness and generosity of the staff at the Cat Hospital. They truly love your cat and the cat owners. Thank you so much.

I cannot say enough amazing things about everyone that is at Cat Hospital! They are so great with my two cats. I have a bit of a drive to get to them, but the level of care and customer service is worth it! So glad I found them 😺😺😊

Dr King is smart, resourceful and has experience w cats! Easier to order cat food from them than Chewy!!! Staff is on the ball and efficient!

These guys are awesome! My cat is...peculiar and they were so great. Dr. King is a wonderful person. I was having a difficult time and needed to have my cat seen and they accommodate us so quick. He was there for a wellness visit and nail trim and I could never re pay their kindness and consideration , in regards of the situation I was in. I recommend this place hands down!

Amazing veterinary hospital. From the front desk staff to Dr. King all are fantastic. It doesn't matter how busy they are, every single person in that building will take the time to listen to you. If they do not know the answer to something they will call you back in a timely manner. You can tell they truly care about their "patients". I drive down to Sarasota from Parrish because it's worth it. Dr. King is extremely knowledgeable and takes his time with his patients. He actually takes the time to listen to your concerns. If you are not bringing your cats to the Cat Hospital...you should be.

I have been taking my 2 senior cats here for 3 years. They are fantastic! All of their vet techs are incredibly caring. Dr. King is wonderful. And given they see only cats, they are familiar with most anything your beloved fur baby may be experiencing/dealing with. I highly recommend them!

Absolutely the best vet we've ever had for our five cats. We've been taking our cats here for the past three years. Cats only, so no barking dogs, that used to cause more stress for our cats when they had to go to the vet. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable, friendly, caring and thorough. Prices are very fair and their compassion is priceless. I can highly recommend.

I couldn't go inside because of covid-19 so we did everything by phone. Ellen, the receptionist, is kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. Dr. King obviously loves cats and their humans. He took time to explain what he had done in detail. From what I can tell, he's efficient yet thorough. My kitty seemed calm, not stressed when she got home, although she couldn't get inside fast enough. This animal hospital has seemingly good relationships with Sarasota vets who make house calls. Lastly, the price was very reasonable. The Cat Hospital of Sarasota is now my vet.
