Dr. Lacksen is everything one looks for in a physician. In addition to her medical expertise, she is accessible and always willing to discuss and/or explain her findings patients. I started seeing her a couple of years ago when my previous physician retired and will continue as long as she is in practice in the area.

My wife and I moved to Athens Georgia 11 years ago. Since that time Dr. Lacksen has has been our family physician. At 85 years old I found her to be one of the best physician that I've had in my entire life. She takes care of us both and we're still in fairly excellent health thanks to her. I would recommend her to anyone.

Update:
Called the number below and was told to speak to an office manager. Tried to speak to an office manager around the time this first happened and was told "Sandra" was not in. This happened to my mother. I do not appreciate her private health information being laid out for anyone passing by to see. Was told by someone at the front desk that anytime someone says they're on the way to pick up information, they lay it on the counter for them to grab. What medical office does this?? Medical offices are the number one places for people to have their PHI stolen and ultimately their identities. Such a blatant and disgusting disregard for HIPAA. If you're too busy to keep someone's private info safely behind the desk and HAND it to them then something is wrong. Will be following up with corporate compliance if this is not resolved with the office manager.

Careful, they'll leave your protected health information on their counter if they know you're coming in to grab it. HIPAA violations-federal law being broken
