The food was delicious! We loved both the burrito and the taco salad. The salsa were amazing and we bought some to take home with us.

All was delicious, and the service is really good!! Habanero sauce is the best! Steak 🥩 tacos are delicious 😋 Triple M drink is tasty and strong.

Put the LiterSteins down, pause on eating that Bavarian Pretzel… and escape to the South for some delicious food, award winning ambiance and conversal staff. If you want to bring the tears order their Diablo Sauce with your seasoned chips and dip.

WOW! This was so unexpected! Absolutely amazing pork carnitas. The Peruvian chicken in a wet burrito was also excellent. We really enjoyed our cocktails, we tried the caipirinha - labeled as the world's most popular cocktail. It was very refreshing. Our server was excellent, our food came right out and the restaurant was spotless. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. A really really good stop! Don't miss the pork carnitas!

Great views and amazing food. They have space outside facing mountains, inside and on the back side as well with more greens. Service was very fast and food was delicious.

This place is fantastic! We were supposed to take a photo after tasting our dishes but it was so good that the whole group devoured our meals. The staff is positive and seems like they are having a great time. Great vibe and a MUST GO TO when you are in town. The food was absolutely wonderful, explosive flavors, yummy drinks, and it was so fast! Yesyesyes!!!!

Incredible food, just what we needed after several heavy meals in a row! Centrally located with lovely people serving and cooking. We never go to the same place twice during a three night vacation, but SOUTH made us break that rule. Wonderful food!

The food and drink were delicious. It was Father's Day so staff were very busy, but still checked on us and were super friendly. I got the Havana mojito and two toastadas. Definitely recommend!

Has a few great vegan options! The shishito peppers and green beans were great. The vegan tacos were excellent, definitely get the add beans and rice! South Colada was really tasty and creamy. Really cool patio and nice staff.

This place was so good, we went here twice in two days.

Every time I eat here, it never dissapoints! I ordered the Burrito bowl with steak, Hubs orders the steak burrito. Both dishes come with tortilla chips. The homemade salsa are super flavourful, we liked the red one a lot more then the green one and next time I would ask for 2- of the red salsas.

The food and service is always great, as well as the drinks! If you're looking for Mexican in Leavenworth, this is a great place.

The food here is always top notch. Quality ingredients and elevated fare in general. Highly recommend giving this place a try. I eat here on a somewhat regular basis and the staff is very accommodating and food always comes out in a timely manner. This is the type of place they will go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction!

Very tasty, modern menu. There is incredible variety here with quality ingredients. Salsas are made from scratch and fresh - I highly recommend the habanero chili oil. Drinks are amazing - see the house cocktails at the bottom of the menu, all made-from-scratch. Entrees were absolutely delicious: burritos are very generous portions, tacos are tasty, and my personal favorite is the enchiladas.

This place is great! We sat down ordered pretty quickly, and the food was out in seven minutes or less which is quite unfathomable considering we were a party of EIGHT! Definitely recommend.

There was no wait when we got there at 11:45 on a Friday so we were seated right away and our food came quickly. Our waitress was great and checked on us a few times during our meal. Our food was amazing! What I liked was that this is not Tex-Mex but rather authentic tasting food. I got the Peruvian chicken mission burrito and hubby got the carnitas mission burrito. We both love them. The chips and salsa were excellent, with both sauces being different, yet tasty, and not too much heat. This is definitely a place you don't want to miss while in Leavenworth.

Really great authentic meal here tonight. Great shrimp tacos with a delicious pickled cabbage slaw. Delicious carnitas burrito with poblano sauce. Both highly recommended, and don't skip the verde and roji salsas. Putting this on our "must return" list.

Though the restaurant was a little louder than we expected (granted, we visited on a Friday night), our visit was pleasant. Service was excellent, and our food arrived FAST, almost as if they knew what we would order before we did! My wife had the Baja Fish Tacos, and I had the Pablano Chicken with corn tortillas, and the quality and flavors of our respective meals were outstanding. If I could eat dinner at South every day, I think I would 😀

Food was amazing! We ordered food to take with us back home we loved it so much! Friendly staff, quick service, good drinks. Can't wait to go back!

I liked the old south .. menu was bigger and offered more choices .. miss the old self serve salsa bar.. been several years since I ate there, but food is still good as ever

The food was sumptuous and very flavorful. The service was very pleasant too. We liked our meals, sides, salsa, drinks, ambience - all of it! Going back here most definitely.
