I had only been to the Wizard of Oz playground before with my grandkids. Today I followed the trails around and got all the way over to the farm. That male turkey was seriously showing off for the female, but I'm not sure you can see her in either of the videos. The nature center was very nice. And there are a couple of interesting cultures on the trail also. I believe they called them "chainsaw sculpture". I really nice place to spend a couple of hours. The trails are all paved and accessible to all.

Beautiful and very clean park! I am impressed with the amount and quality of facilities here! I just took a walk around here and it was pretty nice. It’s a huge park and I have not explored all of it yet but there are lots of trails and activities to do here! Definitely will go here next time when I have the chance to.

I feel safe and secure when I go for a walk on the footpath in the morning and afternoon hours. The walking loop is approximately 1.8 miles (maybe 2 miles). The park environment is well maintained by the work staff. The bathrooms are decent and family friendly. There’s adequate parking near the visitor center and at the playground/carousel area. Visitors may or may not see the wild life that lives inside the park (snakes, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons); they keep their distance from people. I recommend this park for recreation, relaxing, social activities/events, group and family outings, walking and biking.

Love this park. I take my little fur buddies there to get in scenic walks. There is always some extra activity going on that people can enjoy (and your little buddies too). And now the light festival is back-it's a must see!

Be sure to check out the other trails - they are beautiful and well maintained. You can access any of the trails from the Nature Center.

There are new steps to the green trail making it easier to get up the hill (you could take the trail to the left of the steps too).

Wonderful park with loads to do. Worth the trip from DC. The playground was nice and had a lot for kids to do. Probably better for older kids (4+) than toddlers. The nature center was great! Lots of animals and the people working there were so nice. They let the kids feed the fish while they tended to a turtle in the same tank. They didn’t have to do that, so it was very nice. There are also plenty of bathrooms all around the grounds which is great with little kids. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. The Farm had a good variety of animals and the signs were very informative. Over all a great morning spent there.

Super fun park! Love the theme and all the vivid colors! My son could play here for hours! We loved all the scenes and signs to read. The play equipment is in great condition. There’s plenty of parking. There are also pavilions and tables for parties/picnics.

Great open play area. Lots of climbing and hiding areas for kiddos.

It can get extremely crowed. I encourage you to NOT be one of those parents who doesn't watch your child. There are quiet a few areas the kids can get into where they are unseen. There was a stranger gentleman speaking to one of the kids I knew, I asked him to politely move along- as i gave him the omce over with my mental camera.

Be vigil.

Best park I have ever been hands down! The play ground is just amazing. So much for the kids to do and so much detail and colors in everything. I have never seen a place like it. Admission is free which is a double bonus. They have a train ride and mini golf, but those you need to pay for tickets. The prices still wasn’t bad. Only down side is it gets very crowded which makes it hard to keep and eye on your child with all the kids running around. My kids loved it we will be back!

Beautiful park, designed off of The Wizard of Oz! My kids had fun and so did I! Also the ground of the actual playground felt wonderful on the feet! Most ground you walk on is hard and flat. This ground felt soft and airy. Had no problem running around behind the kids on it! It felt so wonderful! Be prepared though, cause the bathrooms aren't the cleanest. The immaculate playground makes up for it, though.

We love this park, all year long. There is a great paved path all the way around. The Wizard of Oz-themed playground, a petting zoo, tennis bubble, camping, ball fields, and so much more. I have always felt safe to walk around this park. There is plenty of parking, and in the winter, there is the huge drive-through light display.

We had so much fun here today. My girls loved the wizard of oz playground. We also played mini golf, rode the carousel, and visited the animals in the farm. The bathrooms were all clean and there were nice spots for a picnic lunch.

We visited this park first time today. Very well maintained park with plenty activities for all ages. Playground and mini train will be enjoyed by little ones. A lot of trails for active walking/biking. Accessable trails and patches for wheelchairs. There are nice picnic sites with close facilities. Also, there is a campground too. We did hikes and can tell, how well conditions of the trails. We saw fresh cleaned, all walkable trails despite a very active weather wise this summer with a lot of stormy days. The location of the park is very convenient to Virginians. I'd recommend this park for all family!

Such a fun place with all sorts of stuff going on for everyone. The animals display is really interesting and cool. They have owls, turtles and more. The hiking trails are multiple and wonderful. The views are breathtaking and if you have kids theres a great playground. It is so much fun.

Honestly, we came for the Wizard of Oz playground and it was worth it. We spent over an hour here, the kids climbing on every piece of equipment and my husband and I admiring the detail that went into this playground. There are areas for all ages and everything incorporates the theme in some way. The kids had a blast.

Perfect space for the kids. Picnics exercise spend the day exploring the grounds . The Wizard of the oz playground is beautiful and very popular with the kids. It’s no shade. In the summer gets very hot. But it’s picnic shelter nature center and plenty of shade close to the trees. It’s a train and a carrousel to add to the fun. Public bathrooms.

Not only was this place free admission, but more so and ever so Beautiful, and Gorgeous , and peace but most of all "MAGICAL!" This truly a must go explore park for ages. My children had such an amazing time exploring their imaginations and being free from traffic and transit noise! I am absolutely daydreaming of Maaaaaaany, many, many birthdays party's and grill outs here as they have picnic areas that super close to the playground but do pack mosquito repellent as they do bug alot 😉 . They also have a big and we'll lit up ball park. Plenty of Free Parking and clean restrooms!

This place is awesome. There's enough to do to make a full day out of it. Our 3-year-old loved the playground and the animal farm. There's a carousel and a little train for train rides, and lots of walking paths and picnic areas. We will definitely be back.
