Dr. Canterbury of GeriatRx is amazing!

I’ve reached out to him on many occasions but the one that sticks out the most was when my daughter came down with the flu. I had a few concerns about the medication that she was prescribed and I was extremely confused because this was my first time experiencing the virus. My daughter was 8 at the time and of course I wanted to make an informed decision before giving her the medication. I had read so many mixed reviews online that I became overwhelmed and Dr. Canterbury really took the time to educate me about the medicine that was prescribed and helped me understand the virus better.
He took the time to understand what symptoms my daughter was experiencing, the amount of time that she had been experiencing them, and helped educate me on the ins and outs of the medication. Leaving the conversation I felt more comfortable about making the decision. Dr. Canterbury created a warm and welcoming environment and really made me feel comfortable discussing such a vulnerable topic.
I did not feel comfortable discussing at my local pharmacy because they were very busy and I felt that they would not have the time or patience to address all of my concerns.

Had an awesome conversation with Dr. Canterbury centered around my concerns with the Covid vaccine. He answered all of my questions and did not rush through them at all. Most importantly, he listened to, respected and validated my feelings and hesitancy. He then shared what the science says and I truly appreciated that. Speaking with a Black medical professional who understands the Black experience, but can also share the scientific facts, made such a huge difference for me!

I met Dr. Canterbury when he spoke at our Rotary club. He is passionate and committed to his mission at GeriatRx. He reviewed my mother's, who suffers from Parkinson's, medications and offered some very helpful advice which we are currently applying. Having a consultancy firm Geriatrx is the best experience my husband and I had in trying to understand and deal with so many questions regarding pharmaceutical and pharmacuetical insurance! My late husband had discovered this organization first, when he was trying to understand how to reduce his high cost of various perscription drugs for his various health issues that were draining our finances monthly! After a lengthy consultation with Dr. Delon Canterbury of Geriatrx, we were able to revise various insurance levels and substantially reduce costs. Dr. Canterbury was clear and articular in what should be the best approach to drug cost reduction. It was information that we were unable to obtain in any other form, and we felt very fortunate to have discovered Geriatrx. Since this initial important consultation, I have been in constant touch with Dr. Canterbury regarding several important medication concerns: over the counter drugs, and the Covid-19 vaccination. This information that I obtained through consulting with Dr. Canterbury has been invaluable! I tend to prefer over the counter non-perscription medications but with so much on the market, how could I know what or which would be best? In speaking with Dr. Canterbury who discussed with me my particular physiologic disposition, age, and specific needs I was able to make an advised decision without jeopardizing my health, nor requiring further consultation with a doctor. In fact, after I shared Dr. Canterbury's information with my doctor, he concurred that he was pleased I was obtaining consultation from Geriatrx that could clearly determine, based on my individual function, what I should be seeking. Also, after discussing the coronavirus vaccination with Dr. Canterbury, since I was quite uneasy about being vaccinated, I felt completely confident and have obtained the Moderna vaccine. I cannot express in enough word how absolutely necessary and important it is to have this Geriatrx organization available with Dr. Delon Canterbury's extensive scientific pharmaceutical expertise assisting me in making decisions that will be a perfect fit, medically. Knowing that Dr. Canterbury is not workiing for the pharmaceutical industry, nor being paid by them, but rather, is working precisely for me rather than pushing a particular drug, but telling me what will and will not work on my behalf, is a blessing and a great relief when in the process of trying to figure out what will work for a particular ailment! We had even received extensive dos and don'ts on medications that were prescribed by our doctors, and changed drugs based on Dr. Canterbury's information that we discussed with our doctors! So I highly recommend that everyone, young or old, but especially Seniors seriously consider obtaining consultation services from Dr. Canterbury and Geriatrx. I had a conversation today with DeLon Canterbury ,Pharmacist, regarding the large number of medicine doses I take per day (20-25!), the possibility that there may be effects from some of those meds that are changing how other some of my other medicines work, and if there were some that might be causing my nausea.

He was able to focus on the pertinent questions to ask me to get the information he needed, he was very organized and thorough, and he was pleasant to work with. It was a conversation between adults.

He knows what drugs were designed to do and he knows what you need to do to get the results you are looking for. He doesn’t change anything in your medical orders, he just advises and guides your care with you and your medical team. I believe he offers a valuable service.
