Los Tres Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill

I’m a picky eater who loves cheese, so this is one of my favorite meals. Also A+ to the waiter who noticed I spilled water everywhere and brought me napkins.

If you're looking for Mexican dishes in the Durham area, you have to try this restaurant. Staff is authentic, polite, and attentive. There are many choices. And the food is served quickly, while still hot.

We were very pleased about the food and the portion sizes.

Whether a small or large group, you'd be hard pressed to find better, authentic Mexican cuisine than this.

Manuel was the best!!! Our experience was otherworldly, and with Manuel's infinite wisdom, he bestowed upon us the best Mexican culinary experience possible! 5 star for Manuel, and 5 stars for the food!

Our second time coming here. We recommend the chori pollo fajitas. Great prices, fajitas are cheaper than chillis. They also have chori pollo in burritos too. Always check for the specials because what you order may already be a special that day.
Will continue to come here again.

It's a basic Mexican sit down place. I've always had food veggie fajitas here. Good for a weekend lunch place but wish they were open earlier on Sundays.

Went last weekend for the first time and it was so good I’m very particular about Mexican food and will judge big time on flavor and this restaurant was delicious we had carne asada and the steak was so tender and full of flavor. The horchata was so delicious as well as the cheese dip. Our waitress was so sweet she made sure we stayed hydrated lol and was just the sweetest. We highly recommend.

Our meal was excellent. Do not eat too much chips and salsa. The meal portions were very large. We couldn’t even finish our meal. The waitress offered to refrigerate our leftovers while we went shopping for us to come back later and pick them up. It was a very enjoyable experience. We will be back.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant, their team is great the food is yummy, and the margaritas are banging, best cheese dip around.

This was a great find! I loved the environment of the restaurant and the customer service was great. There were plenty of menu items to choose from. Me and my girlfriend had to spend some time finding the best dish. I decided to wing it and get a deep fried fish. The texture was amazingly smooth and melted to the tongue. I added some hot sauce to it to spice it up a bit. It's best to eat it with tortilla. for dessert we ate a tres leches cake. I couldn't really eat much of it because I'm lactose intolerant.

A regular pick for us, the food is always great, the service is amazing! We have also enjoyed bringing friends here.

The 3.9 star rating is another reason why you should definitely not just look at the rating but look at comments also. I'm here to say this restaurant definitely checked all the right boxes for me and my wife. We walked into a colorfully clean atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice and answered all of our questions. The chips, salsa, and cheese dip were so good that we could have got full off of them and been happy. But usually, when we go to a restaurant, either the chips or the salsa are too salty, but they are so perfect that I finish one bowl on my own.
As for our entrées they were even more delicious. I added chorizo to the fajitas acp, and the flavor from that added was so good it was above a perfect 10. My wifes dish was an acp with Broccoli and zucchini. if you love a little extra freshness to your acp, it was a definite 10.
Please give the restaurant a try. If you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Listen. I rarely give 5 stars. But let me tell you this has been the best service I've had in awhile. I walked in and instantly is blessed with a treat. Than the chips and salsa was on the table immediately.

Not only was the food great but the service was spectacular. I want to point out Jesus who took care of us. He makes the perfect drinks, is very kind, and took perfect care of us. This place deserves 5 stars and ask for Jesus , trust me!

The food was Delicious... capital D is not an overstatement. For mexican food, this is as awesome as it gets - my humble opinion. Service was very attentive yet not obnoxious; portions were generous yet just enough. The patio setting is great with the gentle bulb lighting. Did not order drinks but looking at all the margaritas going around, i bet they were great. Certainly will try them next time; will def be back and have a dd. What a great find after an REI visit!

I am surprised to see some of these negative reviews, because we've been coming to this Los Tres location for several years and always had a great experience. It is a little divey, but is a great throw back to the awesome mexican restaurants from my childhood. Staff is attentive, kind, and also the food is great! Love their chips and margs.

Los Tres is THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT in all of the Triangle. The most incredible menu with an entire section devoted to variations of my fave, ACP, plus award-winning plates like "El Durham" are a must for anyone looking for a great local dinner. Even the benches are amazing, colorfully carved with beautiful scenes from South of the Border. The staff are extremely friendly and FAST. Truly one of Durham's finest businesses. Come see for yourself! Andale!
