What an awesome grocery store. If you find that you don’t want to shop here due to prices being higher than places like Food Lion, you can discreetly sign up for something they have called LINE, where you get about 20% off of your purchase, it stands for Low Income… something something. I did not sign up for it, so I don’t have the full details, but this place is a co-op and wants it to be a available and affordable for EVERYONE. Regular shoppers have the option to donate to LINE if they feel like it too.

Also, their produce and meat is SO good. Its a small place, but i find everything I need. Including my favorite chocolate :)

It is a wonderful place for a plant based lifestyle. I love being able to shop from local, small vendors. You get good food and you feel good about it too! Plus, the people who work there are awesome.

Deep Roots is my favorite lunch place!!! I know when I go there that the food is fresh and yummy. They have a salad bar daily that has a wonderful selection, and the hot bar always has some wonderful homemade soups, veggies and meat dishes, too!

Amazing small local market for whole foods, organic produce, natural supplements, bulk items, wine and snack selections, and a very popular salad/hot bar that has daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Community-focused events in a clean and welcoming environment!

Each day is a different theme, but Mediterranean Mondays on the hot bar are a must for me every Monday for my lunch.
Roasted chicken or lamb and the rice and veggies are perfect. And i love how it is always vegan options on the bar

A great grocery store and so many different options! They had some fabulous sales and some rare vegan items I've never seen before. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area!

I am not typically a Deep Roots shopper, but they sell delicious bread and cookies from a home baker in College Hill. I will keep going for the bread and cookies

An old favorite that I always visit when I come to the 'Boro. They carry Nancy's sour cream, cottage cheese, and cream cheese, so good. Love their extensive vitamin collection too.

This is in Greensboro. The food is all natural. Everything down to the plate that you put your food in is recyclable very well cleaned. So if you like all natural foods with no additives this is the place for you. They even have a hot bar and sell it bar

Clean and smaller compared to other organic grocery stores like Earth Fare or Whole Foods, but has a great selection of grocery items. Their bulk items like tea, spices and nuts are more affordable than whole foods. They carry combucha for growler filling. So far this is the only grocery store that does this in the Triad area.

Love local spots that spotlight "locals"? This is a good co-op establishment that carries organic, local, & natural food stuff, personal care, and coffee! I was able to find a national brand item that I enjoy and a locally baked goods from Winston Salem. Members of the Co-op as well as non-members shop and gather here. It was busy, but not overcrowded. The staff that I encountered were friendly. There is a pleasant diverse clientele. I felt welcome.

All questions for items and location were answered. A young man helped me find honey and explained the difference when I asked the difference in the light and dark honey. Another gentleman told me where to find chai seed
Cashiers were friendly and helpful.

Clean, beautiful store. Helpful, friendly workers. Great bulk department and comprehensive herb section. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Prepared food section has lots of healthy and tasty choices.

Lots of good stuff, found items that I had no clue to find like: burdock, seamoss. Found other items like castor oil,maca root

Great Co Op- wish there were more of these in the southern states. Deep Roots has just about everything you’d hope including a great hot food bar, soups, and grab and go items. As a traveler for work, I really appreciate finding healthy grab and go items at places like this

Always an A+ for this cool neighborhood co op. They have a hot bar, salad bar, and tons of easy to take options. They use local products and ingredients, and they have a big variety of products by local farmers.

I love this store. Everything is always nice and fresh. The meats can be a little pricey, but the vegetables and fruits are often cheaper than chain grocery stores. My only issues are that the coffee bar isn't open later, and the lamb at the lunch bar is always gone way too soon, lol. Love you guys🖤

I started going here when the building was on Spring Garden street, and was happy to see the move to downtown. I was however, saddened to see the damage that almost shut a true Greensboro institution down.
I don't shop here often, but consider it a real treat when I do. I always feel welcome, and Deep Roots Market has a variety of items unlike any other. ❤

First time there and the only person I spoke with was the cashier and she was extremely polite.
