El Barzon

Our new “favorite Restaurant” This was the best Mexican food, And possibly the best meal we’ve been served in NC. There was very little left to bring home for our Pup’s lol. It was just THAT GOOD. I’m brutally honest when I write a review. But, I can’t say anything but good things about El Barzon. From the mixed drinks to the thickness of the taco shells. It was great! We enjoyed a Rum&coke and a Margarita before we ate and I had three beef tacos and we shared her Texan fajita. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. A little more expensive than other restaurants of this type but, Well worth it. If you’re in Smithfield and thinking of Mexican food, This is the place.

Delicious and quick food on a one hour lunch break. Only thing I would change is that the drinks are never the same. It always depends on who makes them, sometimes they are not strong at all and have no flavor.

Insanely good value here. Authentic and delicious Mexican food at more than reasonable prices, served quickly and by a friendly team. Make sure to try the enchiladas! Definitely recommend to eat here while in Smithfield.

I have been here twice... The first time was perfect, the drink was great.. I only needed one (whiskey sour) and the food was even better... I went around late afternoon on a Thursday so there was no crowd, just me there which I didn't mind. The second time I went was okay... I got the same drink but it didn't taste the same, and my order was messed up... But I'm sure it was because of the language barrier... Otherwise everything was fine.

First time eating at this restaurant and I was very impressed with the food. The food was very good and seasoned like it should be. Also the service was great and the restaurant was very clean.

Very tasty and super staff. Quick service. Great prices. The salsa is nice and lunch steak fajitas were so good.

Good food at a good price. The wait staff was very helpful navigating their extensive menu. El Barzon is a gem off the 95 corridor.

Well kept secret in Smithfield! Excellent food and specials. Staff is great! Quiet dining. My go to Mexican restaurant and I drive from outta town to go there! A+++

Absolutely amazing!!! Carlos was the best!!! He makes a fabulous pineapple mojitos!! Food was incredible!! I don't remember what my husband ordered but it was huge and delicious, mine was very good to. We will be back!!

This has become my fiance and I's "spot". Staff is always so sweet and helpful. Always clean and food is amazing! Everytime. Good portion sizes for what you're paying for. I love this place.

El Barzon is our family's favorite takeout spot. We are local vegans and after countless orders from El Barzon over the years, they have happily accommodated our needs every single time without a mistake or incorrect order. The staff is always friendly and the food is prepared quickly and deliciously. Thank you, El Barzon staff, for offering options for us as vegans when there are so few locally.

I would rate higher if I could. I have many allergies and they go beyond the menu to make a meal that I can eat and many places do not. It is very difficult to eat out but they make it worth while. Thanks El Barzon.

My husband & I had lunch there over the weekend. We were both very pleased with the food which had large proportions. The service was excellent and attentive. The restaurant was clean and followed health protocols. *Although the lunch menu is not available on weekends the pricing was affordable and was not a problem. As my husband said when we left, "that was good, we will have to come back soon".

I've been meaning to stop in here for awhile. I pass by on my way home from work. I did tonight, and I'm very glad I did. I had three Tacos Al Pastor, which were cooked perfectly, and had an excellent, slightly spicy flavor. The rice was definitely above average, and the chips and salsa was quite good too. The chips were served hot, and the salsa tasted fresh. I would definitely recommend you to give them a try!

Been here somewhat regularly for a few years now. Always a great experience and we all love the food.
