Try the BBQ pulled pork plate. It was so much food I could hardly eat it all. Very good. Good dining room. Very nice people. Go there you won't regret it.

Happy Happy Happy. Great job with the food...it was hot and well portioned. AC was working nice on this hot Carolina day and service was on point.

The price per plate was a dollar or two more than we would pay at comparable BBQ spots...but we felt the quality, taste and portions far exceeded that increase.

Plenty of tasty food at reasonable prices! We had the All You Can Eat baby flounder fillets. It came with 2 decent-sized portions of sides. One round was all we needed - good and full! The hushpuppies were some of the best we've had anywhere - very hot and crispy.

My whole extended family has been eating at Holt Lake for many many years. It’s the best place for all you can eat family style. The food is outstanding! Every time we go back I think of all the wonderful memories of our family gatherings.

Omg the food is so good, absolutely a gem. Very tasty and quick service. Waitresses were so nice when they realized I was having a low blood sugar issue, for me stuff to try right away. Make sure order the Brunswick Stew!

My family and I visit Holt Lake at least 3 times a week and we love it!! The food is always hot and delicious!! They have a wide selection of choices on the menu. Sometimes it's hard to decide on what u want because everything on the menu is good! Workers are super courteous too. If you're looking for good ol' finger lickin' good food at a good price, check out Holt Lake!!

We live an hour and a half away, so we dont get up that way often, but when we go to the nearby outlets this place is a can't miss. I always get pulled pork, which is fabulous, but last trip I got the BBQ and fried chicken platter. The chicken was up there with the best I've ever had. Servings are so large its hard to finish, even for a big eater like me.

While this restaurant may be sparsely decorated, their wait staff are super friendly, informative on the menu and always ensure you leave happy. The food is delicious and quick to be served. We were in and out in a total of 45 minutes!

They have the best all you can eat baby flounder fillet so good the best I ever had. The slaw is top-notch. Great hush puppies great barbecue everything is really fresh and cooked in fresh oil. Not greasy

Always good home cooking fresh food, at very reasonable prices, even still, in todays world of sorry unhealthy fast foods chains.. and most importantly, always spotless and pristine clean (very important), especially for the amount of people they serve daily. Our family & church family eat there together often.

I"m sadden to hear Holt Lake BBQ & S is closing.. I always stop in when visiting up to Four Oaks.. White Swan is good also.. I first eat there WS when I was 13.. Mr. Snead and his son Dinkie cooked the pork.. We lived next to each other at 158 &170, The Wood family live next to use also on Galilee Rd. that ran behind W S..... Thanks Terry Barefoot and family..

Had a 60th Wedding Anniversary party here. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Ate family style! Price was reasonable. Always a good place to eat. Barbecue, fried chicken. Fried fish. Popcorn shrimp and sides. Plenty ice tea.
Would recommend to friends and family.

What can I say. Holt's Lake BBQ was a long time favorite place for pork BBQ and seafood. I guess I have eaten there 50 times over the years. Always happy to dine there. Just leave your credit card at home.

My favorite place, a little out of the Smithfield outlet mall. The chicken and barbecue was my friend and my choice - we agreed they served the best fried chicken in the area. We took half of our coleslaw and the barbecue home with us for another great meal. If you are in the area give it a try.

Great food and fine folks!! It's not even that expensive. I highly recommend it. Only thing I'd like to see is the addition of baked beans to the 'sides' menu.

They're known for their fried seafood but I love their boiled shrimp. I asked them to be served cold with melted butter. The cocktail sauce there is amazing!

Came in a couple weeks ago for a take out order. Food was excellent, everyone wore masks, and we felt at ease being there. So glad they are back open!

Went last Saturday night and ordered baby Flounder. It was excellent. I have eaten the barbeque, barbeque beef, and other seafood dishes. Never had a bad meal. Price is right and service is good!

We were just served lunch by this company at a conference and it is excellent food! Crunchy fried chicken, tender BBQ! Even the sweet tea was amazing. Thank you so much!
