OOAK Art Gallery

What a fabulous place! There's a great, eclectic selection of products by local artists, including a huge variety of one-of-a-kind items. There is a great selection of great pottery basics (mugs, plates, *bacon* mugs - LOL - that you can use to cook bacon in the microwave), but there is also handmade jewelry, cards by local artists, clothing, handmade journals, weird and wonderful lawn decorations, soap, lotion, amaaaazing quirky clocks, and a lot more! It's a fantastic place to buy gifts. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!

We were visiting Burnsville NC and stopped by OOAK looking for some local pottery. Gallery is very comfortable and featured amazing works by local artists. The person attending the store was really nice and great to talk to - she really knew the local artists.

Amazing and assorted gifts from many local artists. The place inside is huge and it doesn’t look that way from the outside. There’s also a little attached coffee shop on the left side facing the building.

Amazing gallery right off of 19-E in Micaville. They have local NC artists who do glasswork, 🏺clay, fabric and 🪵 wood pieces and always switch out the work to keep it fresh. Come by for a gallery tour and check out the local talent. They also sell 💎 jewelry, dinnerware, soap, clothing and more.

What a great local place for local art, music, and fellowship! Go next door for coffee and food!! If I lived closer, this would be my hang-out! Please "like" my review if it was helpful or informative.

Drove up from Asheville to see this gallery/shop. Such a wonderful variety of beautiful artisan pottery, creative artwork, yummy scented candles, pretty jewelry, gorgeous cards, and other perfect unique holiday gifts. The folks in the shop are super kind and helpful too.

Amazing gallery filled with beautiful and original work crafted by local artisans. A definite go-to destination for one of a kind gifts for yourself and loved ones. Make sure to have plenty of time to browse all the unique items in this gallery!

Beautiful, uncrowded, yet well organized and full shop. It has more the feel of a gallery than a craft store with artist's names apparent on most creations.

The prices ranged the spectrum but everything I saw was very fairly priced considering the work put in. Masks were required, which I believe is wise.

Of the art types: pottery, quilt work, woodwork, stained glass, jewelry, magnets, note cards, wall art in photo, painting, and collage, one of a kind clocks, metalwork, and much more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

All local artistans as best I could tell, which is what we should all strive to support!

It's a little difficult to rate a place like this during a pandemic. I can imagine there are unique challenges to consistently receiving new artwork at this time. Still, there are many beautiful, creative and elaborate pieces to peruse. There's jewelry, handmade bags, paintings, candles, lotions, steampunk clothing and on and on. I think some of the prices are a bit too high but there is also a decent collection of affordable items. So far the staff has been welcoming and helpful. They typically have a coffee bar in the loft where live music is performed but if course that's not happening right now. I can easily imagine the picking the singing and the good times.

I love OOAK Art Gallery and supporting local artists in my hometown area. With such a wonderfully awesome selection, it's one of my favorite stops to purchase closing gifts for my real estate clients and support local artists. I also tell all my local arts & crafts loving clients to stop by OOAK along with other galleries, but always OOAK and all my clients love the recommendation. I also appreciate their careful attention to care during COVID and am happy super happy they have been able to open and stay safe. Always a wonderful experience here, you won't be disappointed! Very nice, great local art work, reasonable prices, and they have a "seconds" room where the items are still very nice but the prices are even better!

I have seen some reviews that give Kari and her team 1 star for the simple reason they don't like her mask policy. My respect for the OOAK team, which was already high, has grown even higher because of the protocols they put in place to keep everyone safe from day one during the pandemic. I am both artist and customer and appreciate how I'm treated on both counts. It feels like a privilege to be included in such an awesome array of work. As a customer, beyond buying gifts that help support artist friends, I appreciate that there are so many price points... things I can afford today, whether for me or as a gift, and things I can aspire to.

Funky finds! Lots of variety...well worth the stop.

Great selection of local art and pottery. We were even able to find gifts for our kids. Owner was very pleasant and informative about local artists. Highly recommend stopping in if you are in the Toe River community.

This place is awesome. It is where I found all my favorite pottery, including the worlds best coffee mug. The owner is always helpful and friendly and their strict mask policy lets me know that they value my safety, health, and well-being.

Over 125 local artists and crafts people show work here. I bought numerous wedding, birthday, and housewarming gifts. Loved the place and attentive staff.

Fantastic, funky and fabulous! The gallery has an incredible variety of art, featuring some of the best artists and craftsmen in the Western North Carolina region. Oh, they have live music too! It's definitely a local hub and the best place to visit off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

It is a shame that this gallery is closing soon. The selection they have is absolutely incredible. The prices are reasonable and the service is impeccable.

This gallery hosts many local artisans. This area is known for its potters. There are a number of locally known pottery for sale. Alongside the cases of handcrafted jewelry are trinkets that would make great gifts. Step through the archway to a fantastic coffee shop and if your lucky they will have in stock the best chicken pot pie ever.

The variety and talent of the artists featured here is amazing! We love to visit every time we're in the area. Staff is friendly too. Plus, the amazing coffee & sweets shop (Maples) next door is wonderful!
