Frog Hollow Tavern

Hands down the best restaurant in Augusta, probably the CSRA.

We had mussels & chargrilled oysters for appetizers. Both on point & fresh.

The entrees were duck, swordfish (special), pork chop (special), scallops, and seafood bouillabaisse (soup). Definitely get the specials. They’re called specials for a reason. My seafood soup was pretty pretty good. All entrees were excellent. Great portions too.

Finally the desserts, just look at that board of 5 desserts. They’re to die for, especially when the waitress said it was complimentary - New Year’s present. We ordered 3, she brought 5. OMG. We also had 2 beers & 1 cocktail.

Our server, Alixandria, was perfect. She was friendly & knowledgeable of all the menu items. She was a sweetheart.

Must make a reservation. Take your sweetie to this place. Thank me later. 😆

We had a lovely time. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. He was also very attentive. The food was very good. The chef did a great job!

Fried Okra off the chain. 7 layer Mac and cheese should be illegal. Our server was fantastic. Service all levels was great and accommodating. Appreciate the wedge salad with the whole bacon that was awesome. I’m glad my boss pointed this place out for us for dinner or I would have missed this jewel. I would suggest making a reservation it looks to fill up quick in the evening. Also suggest the room off to side for more available ear time. I’m hard of hearing in a busy environment. I was pleasantly surprised to see Benton's country ham on the menu. Food and service was absolutely incredible. Rachel was very professional, accommodating, and friendly. We were celebrating one of my best friend's birthday and had such a great time. Highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

We've been meaning to come here for a while, and I finally brought my wife here for our anniversary. No regrets! The food, the drinks, and dessert were all superb. Our server Josh was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, the off-menu options, and was super attentive. Will definitely come back for another visit sometime in the future!

I have NEVER had an experience like this in Augusta, GA. The atmosphere was upscale and the food was delicious. Our server, Chidi, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and made stellar recommendations for food and wine. She knew her stuff! The manager, Amy, also stopped by the table to check in. I could tell that they really cared about every detail, from the hospitality to the ambiance to the quality of the food. Kudos to Chidi, Amy, the chef(s), and the owners. Spectacular experience all around!

Such an amazing experience! I had the ribeye and it was delicious! Servers were exceptional and thoroughly explained the menu! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing food and atmosphere. Had the special the braised pork chop and harvest vegetables, which was divine.10 out of 10 would recommend!!! Also, the creme brulee was delicious 😋.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time we got the sausage appetizer, the cowgirl steak and the braised pork shoulder. The server was great and the food was even better, everything came quick but didn’t feel rushed. We will definitely be coming back again

My wife and I celebrated late for Valentines day at Frog Hollow. Everything was fantastic and the service was amazing. They have oysters Rockefeller as a special and they were delicious!

My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary here on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 6pm, showed up ten minutes early and they were still able to get us seated after a couple minutes.

When we arrived at our table, there were little cards at each of our seats congratulating us on our anniversary. We definitely did appreciate that. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the tables along the wall in the main dining room are quite cramped. As a taller guy, I felt that I had no room to budge with my elbows without bumping the wall. Not a big deal though.

Our waitress was very professional and prompt. She was knowledgeable about the menu and explained in detail the options available that day that were "off menu."

My wife ordered the scallops with risotto and I ordered "off menu" with the pork chops. (Both are pictured)

The pork chops were absolutely phenomenal, and unlike any pork chops I've had before. They were extra thick and very moist (waitress mentioned an overnight marinade) and grilled to perfection.

My wife's scallops were also very excellent and the risotto was possibly even the shining star of that dish.

Our drinks were well made (I was drinking an old fashion), but the wait was quite long for each round, sometimes 10-15 minutes.

All in all, this is the best food I've had in Augusta and look forward to returning to try the rest of the menu!

We've come back! It's a very cozy and warm atmosphere. The mac an cheese alone would bring me back, but these scallops in risotto, ah! Hubby got the steak and it did not disappoint! This place is amazing and is on our return soon list! Great job and delicious food!

We needed to kill an hour and found this place. It was our time, and we were able to sit at the bar. We got service immediately. Our food came out surprisingly fast and was so fresh and delicious. My husband and I enjoyed every moment of this flavorful, great seasoned food and the ambiance it had. Yes, it is pricey, but we got the small plates, which were perfect for us and the limited time we had. Definitely recommend it and will come back with more time.

I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. It was a very enjoyable experience. The kind staff, the atmosphere, and the presentation of food was just amazing, the perfect environment for a nice date night. I might add that making reservations would be beneficial as a table without reservations isn’t always guaranteed.

Driftin is an amazing server! Best in the CSRA. Highly recommend this place if you want to have an amazing dinner. They paced the food perfectly and they were very prompt. The flavors were delectable.

Awesome fine dining. Excellent service! Savannah was wonderful waiting on us! Great tasting meals! First time having swordfish and it was AMAZING! The cheesecake withe lemon zest and goat cheese; OH! MY! GOODNESS! Great place to celebrate your anniversary!

Recommendation from a local I didn't know what to expect. The hostess was extremely nice and accommodating as I didn't have a reservation. My waitress was possibly the sweetest waitress ever and great at her job. She was also very pretty, as were all the other waitresses. Food was excellent! Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely LOVE Frog Hollow. Every anniversary, birthday or special event I allay recommend making reservations for here. The food is phenomenal EVERY TIME. The apps, entrees & desserts are all worth every penny you spend. The chef definitely knows what they're doing ❤

In town for a retirement ceremony so we headed to downtown Augusta to see what foodie spot we could hit. This was the most amazing food. I had a steak tartare with apples and a caramel glaze to die for. They have an incredible wedge salad as well. For entrees we opted for the shrimp and grits and swordfish. Everything was excellent. The best part was truly the service. Our wait staff was attentive and courteous...sharing our witty banter while maintaining the true aspects of a fine dining establishment.

What a wonderful EXPERIENCE and not just dinner. Absolutely everything- from start to finish - was incredible! Let me share some details with you.

First: SERVICE, which was professional, friendly, accommodating, prompt, attentive, and creative.

Second: FOOD, which was pure art and also unique, fresh, delicious, beautiful, and enjoyable in 1000 ways.

Third: ATMOSPHERE, which was so pleasant and relaxing, we hardly wanted to leave. My friend Maria came from Atlanta to celebrate my 8 new Salesforce certifications, and I’m glad I chose this restaurant because it was absolutely perfect for our cloud career celebration. I loved sitting by the large window overlooking Downtown. I love the white tablecloth. I loved the multitude of candles to set us in the chill mood since we are both high achievers and career ladies. We relaxed and just enjoyed every moment.

Fourth: DESSERT, and wow how hard it was to choose so we simply had every dessert lol

I loved my scallops and fish and wine and bread and tea and ice cream and Maria’s broccoli soup!
