A warm charming Southwestern atmosphere with plenty of patio seating. My wife loved her liver and onions and I had a tasty burger. You won't go thirsty drinking Iced tea from a quart size mason jar.

(This is an updated version of my review) We went a little after 12 and it was not busy at all. We ordered the potato skins ( photo below) and it was delicious there was 6 of them but I forgot to take a photo of that and only have the one. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was the the best pulled pork I have ever had ( as long as I remember). I got shoestring fries and mac and cheese with the pulled pork, there were really tasty. Three members of my party got the buffet (does not happen all the time and photo below) and they said it was really good. The second time they went back some of the chicken was a little undercooked but we hold them and they quickly fixed it. The buffet consisted of chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. My sister got the cheeseburger (kids cheeseburger)she said it was really good but was smaller than she would have liked. She got ice cream after it was vanilla and it was really good. I got pictures of the menu and the sweet tea was tasty not crazy sweet. The waiter was mostly on top of the drinks and he was nice. The bathrooms are a little small but they are clean. It can get a little busy here but it is worth it, I recommend coming here.

Great food and excellent service. Highly recommend if heading to Bandera or Medina. We had lunch in a Friday and even went back for breakfast on Sunday. The buffet was great as well. Catfish nuggets were delicious.

The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Our server Sean took very good care of us. The Dr Pepper Burger was one of the best burgers I ever had and french fries were nice and crispy. Visit this restaurant if you can, you won't be disappointed !

Great burger and sweet potato fries! Service was professional and friendly. Nice view.

Went back a week later and ordered a salad. Skip the salad. It was disappointing. Old tomatoes, Guacamole in lieu of avocado and canned olives on the shaved beef (over cooked) salad. Really disappointed.

Country cooking with a view. The food was delicious and although I ordered the half order of chicken fried chicken, it was a very generous portion. My husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was huge. Loved the view from the enclosed patio!! Christine our waitress was very sweet.. We will be back.

Had a wonderful lunch on our way back from a drive through the Hill Country. We had the Gulf grilled shrimp and Greek Salad...both were good dishes. Our server Rob was awesome! Nothing to complain about. Server recommended we take a walk to the river which we were so happy we did. Check out our beautiful pics! 😋😋😋😋 Yummy faces!

Good hometown American food. My wife ordered chicken fried steak with some cabbage that was very delicious. I ordered a Dr pepper barbecue burger and the Dr pepper barbecue sauce was amazing. They do sell a full bar and beer they don't have any signature drinks. You can walk behind the restaurant down a path into an open field right by the river.

First time. The service is great. The food is delicious. They have a beef tenderloin buffet on Friday evenings. They offered a free taste sample and it was juicy. We will be coming back again and again.

Really good "home cooking" to include pies and a small bar. Cafe located in Bandera, just BEHIND a street-side motel near the end of the main street on the left. Everything is comfort food. Not fancy, but ummm ummm good. Management n staff are very nice, informative, and down right friendly, but not imposing. We drive from San Antonio just to relax n hav a good meal.

We had chicken fried blackstrap. It was amazing. The Texas smashed potatoes were unbelievable. The Cobb salad was superb. What a great restaurant and so reasonable. Way to go Bandera! I should have kissed the chef!

I would give this visit 6 stars, but I guess I can only do 5. Our food was delicious, Brittney was an amazing server, and we enjoyed everything about this visit. The last week and a half I've been taking my friend all over town and this has been the best food AND THE BEST SERVICE by far! The onion rings are so delicious and dessert was worth every calorie! Thoroughly enjoyed this experience!

This was such a nice find. We got to eat outside overlooking the river in the back end and we sat right under a fan which was such a nice breeze. When it got dark and the night cooled our waiter was super helpful and turned it down. The food was yummy and the portions were generous.

Great place, food was delicious and WOW, the icebox cake...to die for. ♥

We had the breaded pork chop, which was a lot. Along with mashed potatoes, and the zucchini vegetable, including the gravy...all delicious.

Our waitress, OG Taylor, was very sweet too.

Highly recommend this place.

Had the Jager Schnitzel, outstanding, McKenzie, my server, was sweet and took great care of me. We use to eat here all of the time several years ago, but haven't been up here in years. It felt like going home. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Did I mention the Schnitzel was great. The cabbage was perfect, the potatoes were delicious and their gravy is the best.

Loved this place! Our waitress, Summer, had water for our dogs the second we sat down on the patio. Food was great and came out fast. Perfect pit stop!

My server was attentive and friendly. I didn't wait long to be served. Food and lemonade didn't take long to receive either. I loved the lemonade. It was a great balance of tartness and sweetness and tasted real unlike the fountain drink, prepackaged, or powder mix options that are common.

The Texas smashed potatoes were good, and I liked the meatloaf too. The chips and queso were excellent. This is a great place to get food after a hike at one of the state parks that are beyond Bandera.

There's a beautiful river behind the restaurant with limited outdoor seating.
