Exact same issue that Madison experienced. Delays and confusion regarding authorization from them to the pharmacy. Staff did not seem to understand that the psychiatrist needed to approve my loved ones blood labs first and then forward to my requested pharmacy.
I recommend to any patients with this requirement to put your requirements in writing. It may not solve the delay however at least you will be able to point the staff to your letter.

Update: It took TWO WEEKS for my loved one to get their medication. DO NOT GO HERE! There are better places in Greenville, trust me! This doctor doesn't seem to know anything, not to mention the desk lady is super rude! Get the quality care you need from a different psychiatrist! The Hypocratic Oath was not used here! They do not help you, they just cause more problems. Do not give these people your money! I don't even know how this doctor got a PhD (or PsyD) if she doesn't even take notes on a patient. Not to mention, the nurse had to ask him the same things the doctor had asked him before! That should have already been in his file! THESE PEOPLE NEED TO DO BETTER!

Original post: It has taken over 24 hours for them to preauthorize a medication to a loved one of mine. People with mental health need their medication! This is awful! They have called several times trying to get their medication preauthorized so that they can pick it up from the pharmacy. I understand that there are plenty of patients coming in, but everyone should be treated with priority. To be a psychiatrist you must take the hypocratic oath, and I do not see any diligence on helping people who have mental illness, which is the opposite of keeping someone safe and well. It is more worth your time to look for a different office. One that seems to actually care about their patients/clients. Even if it is an hour away. People. Need. Their. Medication.

Worst service I have experienced from a Healthcare provider. The counselors are good. The hours and days for the psychiatrist to see children is unrealistic.
