Winding Stairs Camping Area

Beautiful place. We camped there back in the summer.

Nice primitive camp area. No restrooms or anything so come prepared. Plenty of fresh river water. Great little rivers to fish in. We've caught many trout in them over the years. Everyone needs to try this type camping at least once 😁. No stores, no town, nothing except stars in the sky. We live a few miles down the road from here, still love the spend some time here when we have a chance.

Nice place to pitch a tent. Clean up after yourself folks. It’s gotten better kept, but bring a rake to clear away any glass that’s always around the campfire. Camp on!!

If you want to escape the modern world and relax without interruption this is the place for you. Nice level camping area a stone bench to sit on and it's surrounded by beautiful forest land and a nice river is only a step away. However it is a real camping area no power no cell service no bathroom so be ready to embrace your wild side.

The campsite is right next to where you park and there is a stream/river 20 yards from there, you camp right next to the stream. The stream is shallow but we did sit in it to cool off. There is no restroom.

Always love riding down winding stairs road and stopping at the campground. I've down this with all 3 of my boys as they grew up and still enjoy doing it!
