Nena's Mexican Restaurant

1st time going Enjoyed it delicious food more Tex-mex style but still awesome & loved the home style cooking & vibe made me feel right at home. Would recommend to anyone. Great place to go with family or friends. Also being so far from home was Shocked too see Dallas Cowboys memorabilia. Put a smile on my face & All I can Say IS How bout Them Cowboys!!!☆☆☆☆☆

If you're not from around here, you would probably drive passed Nena's, and not even realize what a local gem you've passed. They have delicious food, great service, and the best salsa around! The down side is all the Cowboys propaganda on the walls, lol but we won't fault them for it, I guess. The food's great taste supersedes their taste for football teams. So if you're not from around here, and looking for some good food and a friendly environment, look no further than Nena's. You won't be sorry you stopped in.

Home of the "Hippo", you better be hungry! Excellent Mexican food, great tacos! Easy to get to, Plantation St. in Clute, TX. Try it, you'll love it!

They are an original authentic Mexican Restaurant. I have been going there since there I was A kid. They are also a family owned restaurant. Nena, The original owner with her husband loved the Dallas cowboys and there is alot of cowboys merchandise there. They also always have a movie playing.

This place is great! It smells just like my grandma's kitchen back home! The food came out quickly even though the place was busy and the staff was friendly and all the customers there looked really happy! The food was really good for the price. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be returning!

Update: Nena’s is still the best. The salsa was great and the staff was friendly even though they were clearly swamped with customers. Can’t say enough good things about their breakfast.

Nena’s is my number 1 breakfast taco place in Brazoria county. And don’t take that lightly because I’ve tried most of them. They have a lot of great combo tacos like the Ranchero, the Hobo, and of course the Hippo. This place is the real deal and I’m never disappointed when I get food here.

Hands down the best hippo in town. Customer Service is top notch. We either eat in or take out at least twice a week for nearly a decade and have not once had a bad experience.

Just had an amazing breakfast on our way home from the beach. If you are ever in the Galveston area make a stop by this place, it is worth the drive. Some of the best barbacoa my husband says he has ever had and amazing large homemade tortillas.

Best breakfast tacos ever! My favorite is the bacon, egg, cheese, and hash brown. Unfortunately, I've moved away from the area but I've thought several times about making the hour and 15 minute drive to pick one up. Who am I kidding, I'd get at least 2 and some hotcakes.

I'm from New Orleans with family in the Clute/Lake Jackson area, and every time I'm in town , I stock up on their menudo. Haven't found any that good in New Orleans. 😋

The food was fantastic along with the service! I enjoyed listening to their family laugh and reminisce on good times. Home of the Hippo taco! Love this place and filled me up! Go Cowboys

Great Service the food is Excellent. No matter what you choose to eat Breakfast or Lunch you will not be disappointed!!
Owners and Staff are also very Friendly.
We go at least once a week.

Best breakfast tacos ANYWHERE! Everything is high quality, every time. You never get a tortilla or even chip that isn't perfectly fresh. Fantastic & friendly service.

Amazing Authentic Mexican Food... This place feels like Home... Food is Soo good I didn't leave a crumb... The staff along with atmosphere is something that will keep people coming back because it's almost like going home after being gone for a very long time.. I will most definitely be back and bring my out of town guess to this imparticular spot !!! Kudos To NENA's Amazing Eatery!!!

Their Hippos are literally the best in the area. My fiancé and I love their food almost as much as they love elephants and the Dallas Cowboys. Highly recommended, happy dining!

Amazing service, always full of flavor. Family owned and operated, it shows in the preparation of the food. If your hungry the Hobo plate is the way to go.
