The Magic Scoop General Store

One of the best ice cream shops i have ever been to. The ice creams are great and supersized. We loved tasting different flavors and finally decided to get the mango sorbet and Rum & Raisins. Both of them were exceptional. We ate the ice cream upstairs in the lounge which had plenty of seating areas and several board games. The staff is very friendly and service was quick.

The store is huge and they have a great collection of merchandise.

Cute ice cream parlor and candy shop. Outside seating. So many tasty flavors. The shopping square is very cute. Restaurants in square with outdoor eating.

This I s the creamiest hand-made ice cream you’ll find. Samples are free, and the paid portions are generous. I highly recommend the maple pecan or the salted caramel cheesecake. 5 stars. I’ve visited many times and will continue to do so.

Sulphur Springs is amazing - what an amazing Texas town! The downtown square is magnificent and Magic Scoop was just as awesome. Whether you are looking for a cool gift or some of the best ice cream of your life, you are in for a treat. The staff were also SUPER - enjoy/disfruta! 💯🔥😎

The ice cream is soooo good. Also had the best chocolate brownie served warm! The place is also to shop for unique gifts, especially the fun and humorous animal prints on canvas art! Check out their upstairs 'Chill sitting area', awesome views of the town square and Hopkins County Courthouse!! Definitely a new favorite place to visit on future trips to Sulphur Springs!

Even before you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly friendly and fun. This place almost takes you back in time to the 70's or 80's. The upstairs is amazing for kids of all ages, and even adults. It's not just ice cream and candy that they sell here either, it has a little of everything from kids toys to paint and even swords. I will go here when I'm looking for a cute journal and when I'm hanging out with friends. I love it and you will too.

My fiancé and I Loved this ice cream shop. There were many things to see and buy. The paintings were gorgeous and the variety of the items such as toys, ceramics, clothing and other merchandise were very picturesque. The ice cream was delicious, and the variety of food items and drinks and the costumer service was exceptional. Next time we come back to visit this little town our first stop will be the Magic Scoop Store.

My grandson loves to come here for ice cream! It doesn’t take much to convince me because it is one of the few places where I can join in the eating fun! I am gluten-free and Dairy-free. Today I had gluten-free, dairy-free German chocolate ice cream. It was sooooo yummy!! Thanks Magic Scoop!

This place is a hidden gem!! Visited them in Christmas Eve! In my town I grew up in! Staff were amazing and they have some nice sugar cane Coca Cola! My son was so happy to find this. The ice cream is made here and it's just simply amazing!! Better than any store bought ice cream you can buy. The views are even amazing! We will come back here every time I come back to visit my family.

Very good ice cream. Lots of nostalgic items. If you are over a few decades old, you will find many candy and toy items from your youth that you don’t find most other places. Many different flavors for sundaes and floats, with outside seating on a vibrating square and courthouse area.

My daughter and I go here all the time. Definitely our favorite ice cream shop! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Whether you live here or just visiting. It is a place you must visit!

This isn’t your typical ice cream shop. It’s a mixture of a Texas oddities shop and ice cream parlor. The ice cream is all hand made. It’s some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. There was a private party going on upstairs so it was kids being kids. The noise wasn’t bad honestly it made the place seem more kid friendly. There were games in the tables and just so much to see.

Amazing homemade ice cream! I was pleasantly surprised of variety of flavors. I got the Santa cookie and the Little Debbie Christmas tree and it was Delicious !!!😋 Definitely will be back.

Cool place with family fun areas upstairs on both ends of the store. Great merchandise, wide candy selection, ice cream, drinks, and you can smell the waffle cones being made when you enter the building. YUM! The only downside for myself, was the store was a bit cramped at times, but I'm fairly introverted and they were just busy.

I had called for specific item, there was a mix up. Owner calls me, corrects the problem, immediately. And does follow up call week later. Not only the best Ice Cream ever tasted but great customer service to boot!!

Great little Ice cream parlor just off the square in downtown Sulfer Springs. This is a great destination for a road trip on a Saturday afternoon. Large selection of homemade ice cream. All the flavors we tried were insanely good. I highly recommend this place and the downtown area as a place to spend a couple of hours on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Unique ice-cream flavors! Delicious. Cute little store too. A little on the pricey side. Almost $6 for an average size scoop of ice cream on a cone. Needs more seating. We were going to sit upstairs, but there was a sign that said no children allowed. It was over 100 degrees outside, so there was no way we were going to sit out there. There were 3 tables downstairs. 2 were occupied and the third had stuff stacked on it.

The ice cream is phenomenal period it is all homemade by them along with their waffle cones. I had the double espresso ice cream and it was to die for amazing. We met the owner and she is a wonderful woman. Been there for 7 and a 1/2 years and I would highly recommend it. Downtown square Sulpher springs TX.

Large selection of ice cream, even with a couple flavors with alcohol for the adults. "Kentucky Bourbon Vanilla" and"Whiskey Chocolate Chip" are the two that they had, the day we stopped by. Prices reasonable, workers were very kind and respectful. Nice atmosphere for family. Games at the tables to pass the time; Connect Four, cards, mind puzzles.
