Herschel's Restaurant

I really miss the one down in Palestine I grew up with, hurt a lot of people when they sold out for a pharmacy. This one, though, brings back so many memories, this was the 1st time I stopped by since we lost ours and couldn't believe they got rid of the shakes either. But food was good and service was friendly.

Last night was my 2nd time eating here. First time I ate there was for breakfast and the breakfast was awesome. Last night my son and I ate there , I got a Patty Melt and my son got for a Bacon Cheeseburger and for dessert my son got mint chocolate chip ice cream and I got Root beer float.
The food here is awesome and service is really good

I love this place. Hubby and I had burgers and awesome sweet tea.
The customer service is so great!!! We changed our order, to dine-in, after we received the food. Even though I said it wasn't necessary, we were brought plates and utensils. We were greeted coming in and when we left. All the ladies working there were so kind, without being intrusive.
Our burgers were scrumptious! I recommend the Patty melt!!!! Yummmm!

Great service! Brooklynn S. was so sweet and accommodating recommended the baked potato and it was so good! Bre that lady that checked me out was such a sweetheart! Highly recommended and make sure you get a cookie while there they are so fresh!!!

A really tasty and good restaurant.
I only ate a meatball and fries. Because I was disappointed with chicken strips last time l. Another restaurant.
My meal was great and my wife ordered the chicken strips. They were really tasty. Crunchy but at the same time very, very juicy.
I definitely want to come back to get my own portion of chicken.

I’ve been going to Herschel’s since it first opened up in Mt pleasant. My dad built that first parking lot over 40 plus years ago. Other than, a disrespectful young girl that I had words in Henderson with, it’s been completely pleasant place! I’ll continue to patronize Herschel’s. Hi Bill! 👋 Bill is the brother to one of my friends and she worked for me for a while. We went to church with Bill (regional manager) and Mr Tom (he owned or held stock in the company). He and my in-laws were good friends. These are the reasons that it is a has a special place in my heart! Thanks for all the good memories, great friendships and great service.

Had a great breakfast. Loved the East Texas Eggs Benedict. Good coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere. It's larger inside than it looks and has plenty of seating. You can also just go through drive-thru if you're in a hurry.

Love the food and the people. I had the chicken fried steak with potatoes and green beans. My wife had the Chilaquiles and they were yummy!

They had a grill issue when we visited, bit the Grilled chicken was already prepared for the baked potato, so we ordered the chicken baked potato and one just plan, the were very good. The Service was fast, nice atmosphere and staff. Really neat restaurant!!

Everytime I come visit my East TX family I bring a friend to visit this excellent hidden treasure. Giant stuffed baked potatoes with bubbly cheese and chili, yummy homestyle burgers that are hard to find anymore and fast friendly service. They renovated since our last visit and the vintage decorations really make it feel like home.

I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon , lettuce , tomatoes and Mayo and mustard. I was told to pull around. I waited and waited. After 5 vehicles , I decided to walk in to ask about my burger. Bam they handed it to me. After a 12 hr work shift I wasn’t mad . I was absolutely hungry. Excellent beef taste. Lightly seasoned. Just a burger no. A quality burger 🍔. One of the very best I have ever tried. 🇨🇱🍔🤘I could barely finish that. Thank you for a quality American Favorite🍺

I work out of Henderson for Machinery Transport as a driver but live in VA. Herschels hits like home. I eat breakfast there every morning that I'm in town and love it. Great comfort food and staff is a great crew!

Love this place. Good burger / fries, good chicken fried steak for 8.99. Friendly people the 2 times I've been here.
