Mckay's Country Kitchen

My wife and I went there for breakfast this morning and the portions are huge -- be sure to go there hungry!

I ordered the fully-loaded large (aka 2 egg) omelet and hash browns and my wife ordered the eggs, bacon & biscuits with a bowl of gravy. Food was good, served warm and with a smile.

Nice little restaurant on the square. Only open for breakfast but nice.

McKay’s is my go-to restaurant in Commerce. I like the menu variety and that I can eat a healthy balanced meal or indulge in a good burger with fries. The small town atmosphere, friendly owners & staff have made me a regular.

I absolutely love this place the food is as close to home cooking as you'll get and the people are wonderful !! If your looking for some fine eating go see them at McKay's downtown Commerce....

The breakfast is amazing. Nothing fancy but just truly delicious. Fresh and tasty!!

Owner was super friendly and the food was wonderful. Loved the omelets.

Love the patty melt and chili. Salmon Patty special is also great. Add in turnip greens with green hot pepper sauce even better. Plus get a small dessert with the daily special.

Outstanding service the witnesses were all smiling moving cast taking care of a full dining room. Comfort breakfast food is what your looking for this is the place, very clean food comes out fast you cant go wrong here.

I had the meat loaf which Is good !
The chicken fried steak was not good
The mashed potatoes were pretty runny
The carrot cake was Horrible

Went yesterday to eat only 1 person on the floor, poor guy was hustling to take care of everything, was out of some thing on menu and took way longer to get food out to customers, sat almost an hour waiting, but because I like this place went ahead n stayed. Food finally delivered.. I know things get hectic at time ,as an old waitress n food manager I was about ready to ask if they needed some help....lol. I will be back tho.. the young man I commend you trying to handle the front the best you could. He was realy nice....

A delicious, hot breakfast. Homey atmosphere. You will wait, but it was worth it to me.

American food. Biscuits, gravy, burgers, fries and chicken fried steak. If your familiar with Cracker Barrel's food, or any Small-town American restaurant that serves "home cooked" style meals, this is about the same.

Atmosphere of the restaurant is a mix of old-west and country dinner themed with country music on the radio.

It is a seat-yourself style restaurant, and staff is very attentive.

Never disappointed! The staff is great and the food is always wonderful! I can not say enough about this wonderful establishment!

I went there with a friend for breakfast. This is my first time in Texas. Everything was perfectly prepared. The ham tasted richer in flavor as compared to what I can get up North. The waitress was friendly with enthusiasm, creating an energetic atmosphere to start our day! I'm coming back. Hope to see the rest of y'all there. 😀

Nice and quiet friendly staff. Has that home-cooked feel. The food was awesome and so was the price. The best restaurant in commerce in my opinion. Way better lunch spot than lone star or Luigis

I always love going to McKay's! Their staff is super friendly and it has a down home atmosphere you just can't beat. I try to remember to swing by on Thursday for the Chicken Fried Steak special at lunch.

We both had the three piece fried catfish with two sides and dessert. Great meal.
Their hamburgers are excellent and come with a bag of chips. We order homemade onion rings with the burger. Loved them.
