Tokyo Express in Commerce

Went in and were greeted instantly. The two servers were very sweet and very quick with the service. The food was great! The steak in the udon noodles was cooked perfectly. The rolls were phenomenal! We will definitely be back soon!

The food is delicious and the staff are super kind and attentive. I did not catch my server’s name but she had really cool hair and checked on me a few times to make sure everything was satisfactory. The steak teriyaki was delicious, as was the fried rice and sweet carrots. I like that they offer yum yum sauce and sriracha as well. The yum yum sauce is amazing on the rice. Restaurant is clean, and my server as well as the cashier offered me a second soda for take-out as I was leaving. I highly recommend this place for an affordable delicious meal.

Wow, for a small place in the middle of nowhere, they sure can compete with a large city, prominent sushi place! The food is simply superb, both in taste and quality of ingredients. Don't be afraid to try the sushi, it can compete with a good coastal restaurant! No idea how they pull that off. The hibachi meat is tender, delicious, and also really high quality. Finally, people here are very friendly and the food gets served fast. This place is truly a hidden gem!

Heater was on the fritz when we were there, but the food was delightful. Ambience is OK. Very friendly wait staff.

Went in didn’t expect to be blown away!! The flavor, The Sushi choices, the prices! The steak is far better than any steak house I have been to !! Must GO

The food is great! Everything you order on the menu comes in large quantities. Sauces are upon request as not everyone likes sauce on their food.
For its location, it is a good place to eat alone or with friends and / or family.

Tokyo's is a mainstay in Commerce. Good bubble tea, better teriyaki hibachi and good prices. Sushi is the best you'll get in a town that size.

When i pulled through the drive-thru Dominique was exceptionally kind and attentive at the window. Thai Boba was amazing. Thank you sweetheart for your immaculate customer service!

Recommended by staff at my TAMUC workshop. NOT disappointed. Shrimp Tempura roll very fresh, well made. Calamari appetizer with sweet chili sauce was hot, fresh. Asked for Chef's choice for a sushi roll and had an AMAZING roll (see picture) with thin orange slices, soy paper wrapped roll, cream cheese, tempura core, + 5/5 will stop by again when in town.

Hibachi Steak was amazing. Coming from a person that's not a fan of mushrooms and cooked carrots. I ate every bit of it. Will definitely be back. Staff was super awesome too

Unassuming japanese restaurant in small town east Texas. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Portions were small, but the flavor was good.

The best Japanese food in town! Ordered the Teriyaki Salmon and the lion roll. Texture and taste are second to none! Wow!
Staff is friendly and service is excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for small town Japanese cuisine.

Came in the other day and went through the drive through and was met with Daniela and she had AMAZING Customer service and was really nice. Definitely will be coming back! Food was delicious.

the workers are so nice!! my friend and I are visiting here while we are here for the flute symposium! and they asked us about our flutes! we came three times so far and they're so welcoming and the food is SOO GOOOD! that yumyum sauce 😋😋😋 SO YUMMY!!! the chicken tender and juicy and the rice is the perfect texture, the steak is perfect, and i love the broccoli!!! the food around here is not good, so for this place to exist it's like jesus coming down from heaven and saying, "its pronounced 'jod'" 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
