Dr. Gentry and the staff at SW Neuroscience are truly awesome people. He and the staff there have been nothing but awesome! I had a lumbar fusion and Dr. Gentry took the time he needed to explain why I needed it and what it would do for me. I have experienced an enormous improvement in my day to day life and now have little to no pain. I truly cannot express how grateful I am and will continue to be.

Awesome place to go for back issues. Dr Paullus did a fantastic job with my back surgery. Edit June 2023: HOWEVER, if they want to do your surgery at BSA do NOT pay BSA more than the 10% required down payment! BSA took $1200 from me on the day of surgery and somehow forgot I paid it. Fast forward 4 1/2 months later and I finally got a $900 credit that should have gone to the surgeon. The way they credited my account completely messed up my FSA/HRA card and, even though I had explained this multiple times to Southwest’s front desk and to BSA, they sent me a threading letter that they were cancelling my relationship with my surgeon and taking my account to collections. IF THIS HAD BEEN BILLED CORRECTLY FROM DAY ONE AND THE MONEY HAD GONE TO MY SURGEON RIGHT AWAY, I WOULD HAVE A ZERO BALANCE. But instead, I have no doctor for future back issues or problems with my surgery and now I will have no money on my FSA card for eye care or dental for the remaining 2023 year. At least I didn’t have many complications so there’s that.

Dr. Paullus saved my life ,it's 5 years since my deadly aneurysm, sent me to Dallas due to lack of staffing at time of my burst. I am very thankful for my extra 5 years life. My last appointment, that is a horse of a different color. I am having some problems the past year and a half or 2. Right now I am feeling zero pieces of him due to the lack of compassion and denying that he has ever heard of my symptoms post 5 years shunt and clips. I send virtual dozen black roses.

Terrible experience with Dr. Paullus Jr, and with the staff at Southwest Neuroscience. May 2020, new location, I wanted to see the new MRI images of what we are "watching". I was led out into the hall, where he pulled up the images on a computer 10 feet away from the next patient getting their stats and I'm listening to all his prescriptions.
I ask where are last year's images, he says he doesn't have them, but assures me it's most likely that it has not changed since last year. ---Ok, so I just dropped $1,500 for a new image to compare and we're not comparing---then proceeds with our appointment in the hall. Very casually tells me we don't want to touch this thing and why. My 2019 appointment, he had very casually said it would be no problem to remove. We are still in the hall with patients and nurses moving about.
Once you see him, the other neurologists in this office will not see you.

I had a neck MRI which was read "indicates disc protrusion causing severe spinal stenosis". I was referred to Dr Hiser. He did a few strength tests on my legs and hands. He did not at any time touch my neck, my shoulders, or my back. He did not even ask me to show my range of motion (how far I could turn or nod) He said I didn't need surgery and the injections wouldn't help. I brought up the spinal stenosis issue twice, but he completely ignored the issue. He was rude, condescending, thoroughly incompetent and a very poor diagnostician.

I’m sure the drs are fine surgeons the staff are awful
Very untruthful . They waited 2 weeks after scheduling my surgery to contact my insurance, the insurance needed to do a peer to peer confirm things and they couldn’t be bothered to talk to them , and waited 6 days before my surgery to call and notify me that my surgery was canceled I own a small business and had to make a bunch of arrangements to get this surgery done They will not go out of their way for you in anyway !

The nurse does not listen and follow dr. orders. She did a physical exam on me never touched me. Interesting my lungs were clear and she never listed to them. She put kidney disease and that is incorrect not yet known.I won't return to this clinic because of Dr. Paullus nurse. She also did not weigh me.

Waited to long, nurse practitioner was distracted with her phone and watch messages. Forgot to phone in prescription, and unable to find previous tests. Not the best visit.
