Lots of things on sale 65% off or 30% off the green already reduced price tags. The store no matter what kind of sales they have it generally stays clean and organized and the employees have always been pleasant for the most part.

Absolutely love Academy sports. It’s a one stop shop for me when it comes to ammo, hunting, camping, etc. Doug over in sporting-goods, such as the guns and ammo department is absolutely amazing! He’s always so friendly and happy to see me when I walk in. He doesn’t treat you like a customer! He treats you as a friend of his family! He’s the reason I keep coming back to purchase my side arms, along with ammo and anything else that I need for my camping and hunting experiences. And he is also the reason that I will continue to come back.

We shopped and had a return. The cashier was normally on the sales floor and was doing her best. She messed up 3 times during our transaction but had a smile in her face and was still cheerful.

Best experience today with Amarillo Academy!! There was a price discrepancy with a product that was on a shelf that range up for a different price then it was advertised for. The gentleman that helped me was quick to call his manager on duty. Edith was the manager on duty and she handled my situation perfectly. She was pleasant to deal with, showed professional courtesy with her employees and customers. She went the extra mile to help me and I couldn’t be happier! Edith is a perfect example of how a store manager should help customers and employees. Corporate if you are reading this, all of academy’s should model Edith’s managing skills and teach that to others managers and stores. Thanks so much Edith!!!!

We easily found what we were looking for and received immediate help getting into our vehicle. Employees were friendly and helpful even during extremely busy day.

This is one great place. I will be sure to stop here again.

You can find just about anything you need for sports to hunting gear. Love this place.

Hardly ever come here, but I found out they have Oofa shoes there! Bought a pair. The most comfortable pair of sandals I have bought! They have everything too, even dog stuff and barbecue pits

The store is always busy but get what we need most of the time

They had the exact pistol I wanted in stock and were immediately able to run my background as well as several other customers. Unfortunately, the other customers all cleared but mine was put on delay for some reason. Bit that isn't the store's fault. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Hopefully they'll be calling soon with good news.

Knew what I wanted and was in and out in a short eriod of time . They had people at the registers checking people out, rather than one person standing over you like a vulture making sure you scanned everything. Thank You Acacemy for keeping people employed.
