Village Homestyle Laundry

The only laundromat I used for several years. The owner and staff are curious and professional! My laundry is done to perfection!

I've been using village home style laundry for years and have always been exceptionally pleased with their service. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful, and they do a fantastic job on the cleaning and folding and hanging. If you don't like to do laundry I highly recommend having them do it for you. Price is very reasonable as well. My laundry is usually ready for pickup the next day.

I dropped off my clothes yesterday afternoon and picked it up this morning! I had about 37 pounds of laundry (7 or 8 loads) They even helped me unload my laundry and then load my laundry back into my car when I picked it up!

They folded my laundry, towels, and put my dresses and sweaters on a hanger! Everything looks and smells clean! As far as I can tell I got everything back! They even washed a rug I threw in there.
Super friendly staff! Will definitely be returning!
(Also the price is incredibly fair and affordable)

And now I have the rest of the day to watch TV and order a pizza (:

Awesome place to do laundry in Auburn. The owner is incredibly friendly and has been in the same spot for 30 years. They even have WiFi and will make change for you at the counter.

The machines are a little older but they are clean, very well maintained and my clothes came out great.

I never write reviews on anything, but I must say I had a fantastic experience with this business! The owner was extremely friendly, he gave me a discount just for stopping in, my clothes were washed nicely and folded very promptly, and it felt good to support a local business. The owner clearly cares for university students. The most amazing thing is that I had recently washed AND dried most of the clothes I took there, not knowing ink from a broken pen that snuck into the washer was staining my favorite clothes horribly. I don't know how they did it, but 95% of the ink stains were completely gone after taking them to Village! I didn't even mention the ink to them. They must use magic detergent! I highly recommend this business.

The owners seen to be either an older white guy or an older black woman, either one of these two are in there every time I'm there and they're the nicest coolest people. This business deserves the small business of the year award.

Washers work great, small dryers, no WIFI

If you want to drop your clothes off for a wash and have them stain free and actually clean… please stay away from this place!

PROS: it's nearby.

CONS: 1. They're nearby. They should have opened it someplace else, like some other country.
2. They consistently lose clothing.
3. I provided them with a half bottle of detergent and a half a bottle of fabric softener. I could tell by the smell of the clothes they didn't use fabric softener and nor did they return the bottles!
4. The clothes smelled burnt.
5. They overcharged by weight. For example, they charge for 12 pounds of clothes but even when you put the clothes on the scale in front of them. The load might only weigh 8 pounds (before and after washing) they said they're going to charge for 12 lb anyhow. Well, it shows they have good effort for an attempt at a different business model ("Customers Come Last" business model). It's quite okay for a business to charge a higher price but at least be honest about it!

The old women that work there are racist . Everytime I would go there to wash clothes I would be watched the whole time. Once I left a pair of pants I they would not give it to me until I had to get my mother over the phone. Even though I was in college for a math degree had to be racially profiled. This place is terrible.
