I absolutely LOVE, this Mexican restaurant. I found La Fonda about 6 months after moving to Fort Payne, from Chicago. Real Authentic Mexican food is something I definitely missed leaving Chicago. Every weekend I would kind of explore and try to find a really good authentic Mexican restaurant, and La Fonda was the one for me. Very courteous, and great tasting food and drinks.

One of the best authentic Mexican restraints I've ever eaten at. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I have to stress the authentic part because this place soars far above and beyond most "authentic" Mexican restaurants by truly being authentic. I missed out for a long time on this great place and i highly advise anyone else to not do the same.

Me and my girlfriend have eaten here approximately fifty times across the last couple years. We have yet to have a negative experience in all of the times we have been here. The staff is always helpful and not annoying like a lot of places. The food is awesome. Would definitely recommend.

Usually pretty quiet but it gets packed on the weekends. The food is great and the menu options are plenty. Has outdoor seating and is great for the family and large groups and the inside is great for dates or by yourself.

If someone gives this place a one star review, they are either an idiot or competition. I have eaten at 100's of "Mexican" restaurants over the years, have been to Cancun several times, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, and even Laredo (I don't recommend that particular place). I have eaten at Abuelos and other higher end Mexican places. La Fonda is absolutely the best little Mexican place within a 250 mile radius, and is at least as good as the absolute best Mexican places that I have ever eaten at. It is quaint and simple, and you won't want to live in their restroom but if you want incredible food prepared by amazing and caring people, this is the place to go. We just drove 30 miles out of our way just to have lunch here....

Best Mexican in town... Authentic Mexican, not Mexican/American... Tacos are killer!! Salsas are amazing too! This is definitely for food fanatics who want something different than the status quo!
