I love a good meat and three. Pannie-George’s is all that and more. I was hoping for some fresh fried chicken but it was going to be a 20-minute wait so I went for the chicken and dumplings instead. Oh so yummy! It did not disappoint.

The butterbeans and mashed potatoes were equally tasty. Ditto on the cornbread, which was moist and full of flavor. Not dry, which is what most places serve.

But the very best was dessert, which was peanut butter cake. Perfect blend of moist cake and a sweet but not too sweet icing. I can tell you I’ve never had better. So good I got a piece to go for later. ❤

Add to this the welcoming kindness of every person on staff we encountered. It really made my day.

If you’re in the area, this is one delightful place you don’t want to miss. 😀

As good of a Southern meat-and-three that you’ll find. Don’t get too creative — fried chicken, sides, Kool-Aid. Thank me later. Prepare for long lines if you visit around peak meal times, especially Sunday lunch.

Damn, if this wasn't the best soul food I've had. Fried chicken was fantastic. Wife had beef tips, also great. Sides of note: Mac n cheese, collard greens, black eye peas, Cole slaw. I need this in my home town!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Pannie’s daughter on my first visit to the restaurant. She made sure you were welcomed with a smile and a heart felt hello. Our party ordered the fried chicken, beef tips and baked chicken. The food was hot, well seasoned, crispy and absolutely delicious. The line was out the door but it was well worth the wait. Definitely food that sticks to your ribs. You cannot go wrong with any of the sides.

Yes, it is that good. Warm staff, delicious lunch at this hot-table, meat + 3 restaurant. I loved my baked chicken (meltingly tender and flavourful), okra (stewed gombos) and collars greens (thankfully not too-too greasy). The jalapeño sauce & red pepper sauce are made in-house. The cornbread muffins are tasty, too, with that nice grittiness and a tad sweet.

Just a true southern homestyle cooking here. Truly great food with a great price too. Make you feel like your mom's house again and enjoy lunch.

I had no clue this place was here but I'm really happy I stumbled upon it, this is THE BEST soul food I've ever tasted, the seasoning on everything was amazing it didn't need salt or pepper.
I got a meat and three- catfish, purple hull peas, mac and cheese, and yams w/jalepeno cornbread. The fish's batter was perfectly crunchy, the purple hull peas were firm yet soft and had all the flavor you could ask for in a pea, the yams were sweet and soft and they Melt in your mouth. What really made me excited - when I went to fill my tea they had homemade kool-aid in a labeled tea container, if I wasn't craving tea I would've went for the kool-aid. Amazing job to all the cooks and workers!! I will be back - with family & friends.

Easy 5 stars...chicken is amazing. Only once was it dry and they gave me more chicken. Love this place! Definitely try it out.

Traveling through and was glad to find this location. I had heard of Pannie-George's before and always wanted to go. Did not disappoint (except we missed mac n cheese day 😢 which I wanted to try). Highly recommend.

Yummy! Fried chicken was just like I like it. Black eyed peas and sweet potatoes were tasty!

The food is delicious and the service is great! The young men working there were very respectful and mannerable. They deserve all the tips!

This is a very good meat and three, cafeteria-style restaurant. Their vegetables are great, and the servings are large. Today the meat options were pork chops and fried chicken. The fried chicken is great, very home-style. I enjoyed the cornbread and sweet tea. The peach cobbler was wonderful with a lot of crust. The building was very clean. Their health code rating was 100%.

If you want something near to a home cooked meal, definitely come here. The food was good and fulfilling

The workers were kinda rude, it was a little hot in the restaurant, but that is were the criticism ends. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in my entire life! Can't wait to go back again.

The food was very good. You better get there early if you don't want to be in the line all the way out of the back door!!!

I tried a lot of places and this by far my favorite. I recommend following them on Facebook or Instagram to get the daily menu. The fried chicken is consistent every time and is delicious.A plus is that each meal comes with a drink. I go every week and always look forward to it. It does get busy but the line goes by fast and efficiently. Overall this is one of the best fried chicken place.

Delightful! $15 deal for a meat, three veggies, dessert plus drink - great deal!! Fresh okra = perfectly tender and simply boiled, how I love it! Fried chicken breast = delicious, not too greasy! Homemade mac n cheese = yummy and unique with several cheeses mixed in & crispy baked cheese topping. Lima beans = tender and nice ham flavor. Bourbon pie = yummy sweet ending, and not too sickeningly sweet like some! So happy I chanced upon this place today on a random Roadtrip gas stop. I hope to come back some day !

This is a meat and three. Meat and two is also an option, or all veggies. Quick service once you are at the counter. I thought it was a tad expensive but not overpriced. I would go back.
