M & J Home Cooking Oxford

Finally a place that advertises on their sign "Home Cooking" AND DELIVERS! Everyone had been nice. I seems there is one waitress that is running around; with that said she is fantastic. We haven't had to go look for her... she's always been around to ask if we need anything. Super gal! The food, what can I say. I didn't need to salt anything except the brussel sprouts (those always need more salt...lol); everything was seasoned well. And all for... wait for it...$28, the price is right so leave a big tip! 😉 I'll leave a picture of the buffet because the meal is gone...lol. Really ya'll if you're in Oxford, AL you've gotta stop here. You won't be disappointed.

Nice enough place. Old building but in Great shape. Friendly staff. Fast answers to inquiries about the food on the food bar. AYCE BAR. Joy. Good baked chicken and fried chicken. Brunswick stew was good according to my sweet wife. Pudding, apples in cream, banana pudding was good. Salisbury speaks and gravy on mash potatoes was EPIC. ROLLS WERE delicious. Big and yeasty.
We enjoyed a nice dinner. We will be back.

Food was great. Met the owner ,Mike. Had a few good laughs with him. Very inviting atmosphere. Will eat there again if ever up that way. I recommend this eatery. Good food !!

This M&J Home Cooking Buffet Restaurant is actually like food that you would cook at home! And on certain night's they have some special foods! Like Friday's are Fish all you can eat buffet! Low price of $11 for the buffet and it includes your drink! Try this Restaurant sometimes and then take your entire family and or some friends! Everyone Enjoy!

Easily the best "homestyle" buffet I've ever seen, and the only one I've ever been to which has any business at all using that title. Not one bad item on my plate. The squash casserole and fried green tomatoes were probably the stars in my opinion, excellent breading on the tomatoes, especially mind boggling for a buffet. Mashed potatoes, fried okra, meatloaf, yams, green beans, fried chicken, mac and cheese, all solid. Service was good, considering they were pretty busy. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back here.

Great food excellent prices everything was fresh loved it will definitely be back it was like the people in the restaurant actually cared about the food they were serving to the customer highly recommend this place thanks for such wonderful food and service

Best food ever!! We live about 45 minutes away, and the food, service and atmosphere are all definitely worth the drive.

My rifle team is in town attending a camp at CMP and we coordinated with M&J for a few of our team dinners. They were more than willing to work with us and the food was really good. We really appreciate your entire staff for their customer service. We really enjoyed the buffet and desserts!!

Great buffet with salad bar, entree, and sides bar, and dessert bar all for $13.95 includes coffee or tea. This is home cooking with a homey atmosphere.

Been eating there 6 years. Still no complaints. Real home cooking food that can not be found anywhere else around here

Two days this past week. Fresh home cooked. Menu changes daily which is good. Love this place.

First time eating here. My wife and I will be back soon. Great food and service.

First time visiting. The cost was around $14.00 for lunch. Seemed kind of high. After tasting the food, I realized how special this place was. The corn was delicious, the country fried steak and gravy was awesome! Everything on the food bar was very good. Only downside was the strange music... you'd think a country buffet would play country music.

This is southern home cooking at its BEST. Being a buffet we were able to try a variety of items. Everything, I mean everything we tried was EXCELLENT- flavor A+, hot food HOT, cold foods COLD!!!! We started to eat at Cracker Barrel as we were traveling down I 20 and we can depend on their food to be somewhat consistent. When we pulled into the parking lot there were people waiting outside. We decided not to stop and so happened to spot a sign for M&J Home Cooking. Well we hit the jackpot. More than well worth stopping. Just a note. You pay before being seated. SERIOUSLY MORE than worth stopping. $13 which included the drink!
