New China Chef

Always excellent, mom and pop so food prep and quality are very consistent, very nice people not pricey. Huge menu. They used to have great deals before the pandemic. Free eggrolls for orders over 20 bucks but I don't know if they're still doing that. Even though its just a pick up area with a few tables I gave atmosphere 5 stars because its exactly what its supposed to be.

I discovered this gem of a place about 5 days ago, and I have had it every day since. Absolutely delicious. The crispiest egg rolls. Most flavorful rice and perfect sauces on their perfectly fried chicken bits. I longed to find a good Chinese place and have settled for Panda. This by far takes the cake, icing and sweet filling in between . Haha! Try for yourselves you'll be glad you did.

Very nice staff. Large portion. I ordered a general chicken dinner special and had plenty !. Nice amount of meat as well in their chicken fried rice. Delicious. My picky 2 yr old even ate a large portion herself. Will be making this gem my regular !. Unbeatable prices ! Thank you!

Ordered sweet-sour shrimp with pork fried rice for lunch. A ton of good food for $8.75! It will be lunch for 2plus days. Definitely a new customer. Yay, right down the street from my work.

Just had them last minute on Christmas Day, 2 people working non stop couldn't belive they made my order in half an hour as a walk in order. The best Mongolian Beef I have had since leaving the south loop and its Chinese spots. But this was honestly the best better than anywhere. Everything cooked and prepared properly first place to stick to onions only and a nice mix of textures and kick.

Food is delicious, and inexpensive. The owners are seriously the sweetest people! I’ve been getting food from New China Chef once a week for the past couple years and I’ve always been satisfied. Their soft noodle Chicken Low Mein is so good! And we absolutely love their Mongolian beef and Beef and Broccoli. Best part is, if you spend more than $25 they throw in a free small Sweet And Sour Chicken! But you’ve gotta mention it ☺

New China Chef is one of the most delicious Chinese food places we have tried. What is great is that I think they use a lot of fresh vegetables (i.e. not frozen), which adds to the perfect texture of their food. When they are made fresh, their potstickers are THE best. The staff there are very friendly as well and will recognize me as a common customer.

Totally biased review based solely on their beef fried rice and egg rolls. They have an XL BFR too which is basically a bucket of the best BFR I've had. Huge menu, but I haven't gotten past the rice.

Judge a place by how well they do Mongolian beef. They made it perfectly. Not watery. Right form. Perfect thickness. Good portion of meat. I travel the country and judge all Asian restaurants on this basis and this place is amazing!

I've been coming here for years and this small restaurant is by far the best in the area. Their food is clean and not heavy on the oil and accommodate to vegetarian/vegan diet.

Their smoothies are delicious. Go get one.

Great food and service as always. Have been coming here for years. They are open for carry out and delivery during this stay home home period due to COVID. Practicing social distancing (masks, no-dine in, etc.). They also placed a row of tables in front of the register/counter to create greater distance between customers and employee.

The best Chinese food in town. The owners are always very friendly and the food is top notch, and affordable. And there’s lots of it.

Best Chinese Food in Mundelein. I've been coming here for the last 4 years. Great service and great staff. The rice is amazing....not to oily or dry. It's just right and the lo mein or war mein is tasty. I've tried lots of local chinese spots around here...and this is the best.

Honestly, I just went in for the first time and placed an order. I'm being positively prejudice because the lady working there was so nice that I'm going to assume the food is going to be delicious 😁
