Monticello Red Wheel

Typical small-town American diner vibe, but if your go-to choice is the breakfast menu like mine is, try the Chef's skillet and add gravy. You won't be disappointed. The bacon is really the exceptional part, it's "meaty" and plentiful.

I highly recommended serving size is huge price is very reasonable to almost low nice atmosphere great servers I at the all you can eat walleye for 999 just unbelievable deal I really like the place

We came in a group of 10 on 9-12-22 and were given the back room. The food was delicious and the portions were huge, but the waitress we had was exceptional. She was kind, witty, attentive, personable, and had a GREAT attitude. Management- hang onto her and treat her well. She “gets” it!

Please consider fixing the walkway in, dad tripped over the raised concrete slab. He thankfully didnt fall. It is a hazard.

Came here for breakfast with friends and the staff was very friendly!! Our server gave us five star service. The breakfast we all had was fulfilling, we were all able to share food plus have some to take home. Would recommend, have not tried the lunch menu or dinner , but the menu has a variety of options to choose from.

We randomly saw a sign for the train museum and once we were done there we decided to eat. The Red Wheel was awesome! Delicious food prepared fast, friendly service and a very clean establishment. I would definitely stop here again if we are in the area! My husband had the beer battered fish, I had the red wheel burger and my cousin had the spaghetti. All were great choices and highly recommend!!

Really nice family-style restaurant. Has an extensive menu, and both the quality of food as well as the portion are really worth the price. Waiting staff is also friendly. I would highly recommend coming here before or after the town's famous polar Express festivities, as the crowd is not too bad, and the food is delicious.

The staff is great and very attentive. The restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend the Monticello Red Wheel for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My favorite is the all you can eat fried chicken and the Friday Walleye or Shrimp. You can beat the food or the prices.

Haley was the absolute BEST waitress!! The owner was very pleasant, great food, customer service and tried something new, each of the 4 days we ate there and no complaints at all! 💞

Girlfriend blew a tire pulling in the parking lot one of the waitresses I believe came out and was super nice and even let use use her tire iron I would have eaten there on that alone if I wasnt worried about replacing that tire

This place is a little hidden but right in front of you. Great little restaurant. Service was Great. And if you like Ribeye steak sandwich's the size of the cut of meat is big and thick. Highly recommended!!!

Do you like fish? Red Wheel AYCE walleye is the BEST around! Lightly beaded with a flavorful seasoning. Everything tasty and large portions. Staff very friendly.

I have eaten breakfast, and dinner at this restaurant for last 2 days while in town and the service and food, especially the Fred Flintstone portion of Prime Rib was beyond excellent. I will definitely eat here again and recommend others to do the same

I really enjoyed that pet-friendly outdoor seating. The Classic Diner 2 x 2 x 2 and coffee under ten bucks! Real butter available upon request.

Mother's day brunch was great. Plenty of room and plenty to eat. Staff was very courteous and efficient. All in all a very good eating experience
