We really liked this campground it felt small, but had over 100 sites. Several of them had electric in quite a few were right on the lake. It is a quiet campground with not a lot of Organized activities to do. there is a playground picnic shelter, boat launch and basketball area. While we were there, there was a large group with well over 300 people at it in the campground never felt packed. There is a nice beach area, but the grassy area, the sand and in the water was covered with goose poop. The staff and camp host are all very nice.

Have stayed there twice now for over a week each time, and only have great things to say! Staff are wonderful, bathrooms are clean, sites are large and well maintained (from a tent-er's point of view), and the park and views are just fantastic. Centrally located for many of the western UP and northern Wisconsin attractions.

Surprising quiet! Everyone typically goes to bed around 11-midnight. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Fogger/ mosquito repellent is a must have! Very dog friendly, lots of people bring their dogs. Best part is the lake is only a stones throw away from any campsite.

Very clean and nice. Employees were friendly. We didn’t camp here, we just came to visit on the water. Like I said before it was clean and not crowded at all!! The park you can tell is very well maintained and quiet. Nice place to get away to.

Always enjoy coming here. We always camp on the waterfront sites. Most of the waterfront sites have direct water access. Friendly & attentive staff, clean restrooms. I highly recommend bringing your boat or kayaks if your able to. Love this big Lake! Other campers so far have always been quiet & respectful. Lots of places to go for day trips. Site #4

This place is a beauty. The campground was epic - I was in site 40 and right on the lake. Spots are big and reasonably away from each other so you're not camping right on top of your neighbor. The bathrooms were nice as well. Highly recommend this spot.

Such friendly staff! We got here and guard said if we didn't like our first site we could take a diff one and we chose the 2nd one and it was not a big deal. He gave our pooch a treat even when she growled at him (bad girl!). There are no water hook ups but there are water spouts all over so not a far walk to get water plus there is potable water fill stations. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and they are clean. The water was not the hottest but I like scalding hot, so I may not be a good judge of that ha ha. Hubby said his shower was great. We went for a drive and the camp hosts waved at us. Friendly. The only bummer was our pooch was not allowed in beach area.

Very nice boat launch. Campsite on the water was fabulous. Enjoyed the sunrise every morning. It's a big lake and not easy to fish. But did catch a perch and a pike.

Courteous helpful park rangers. Many lakeshore sites and large lots. Many of the fire pits are in odd places for the lot, though.

Beautiful park with most sites on the Lake. The footpath was a hidden gem of a hike. Camp hosts were So friendly - they even provided free coffee in the morning! So many beautiful waterfalls in the area.

This park was beautiful. This park is a hidden gem for sure. We booked it 2 months before we got there and we got a lake front site. The sites are very wide and spacious. The bathrooms were very clean. There is only one bathroom for the whole park, but the park isn’t that big. It wasn’t very busy for a weekend and it was very quiet. Over all very impressed and we are planning a trip up there next year already.

Let me regale you with the tale of this park and its mighty rangers! These rangers are like the superheroes of the outdoors, equipped with walkie-talkies instead of capes, ready to swoop in and save the day from rogue squirrels and lost frisbees. They're the Sherlock Holmes of finding lost keys and the Gandalfs of guiding lost tourists back to civilization. And let's not forget their impeccable fashion sense — green pants, and boots so pristine, they make nature jealous. The park itself? A marvel of greenery and tranquility, where even the ducks seem to have taken quacking lessons to ensure they're on pitch. It's the kind of place that makes you want to frolic like Bambi and give a standing ovation to the rangers who keep it all in check. Bravo, rangers! You make the park experience not just safe, but downright adventurous.

Very large sites. Power can be a long way away. Great lake view. Was quiet. Park .75 miles end to end for running. Centrally located. Good value.

What a wonderful state park! Right on Lake Gogebic with campsites backing up to it. The ranger was super helpful. He told me my site I picked out had a ditch the ran through the middle of it and suggested 2 others that had just opened up right on the lake. Score! He even hurried back to change my reservation before it was taken!

Went during Memorial Weekend, it was absolutely beautiful. Campsite is clean, restrooms are kept fairly clean and you can even do boat/pontoons rentals. Definitely bring some bug spray because they are a little bad out there. But other than that great scenery.

Great place to camp if you are touring the area! Had cell service the whole time but once I left the park I lost it. Very dog friendly which was what I needed. Staff is friendly. Can see the lake from most campsites. Bring bug spray!!

This is a clean, beautiful and spacious camping site. There is a nice beach, and the bathrooms are very close to all the camp sites. Firewood and ice are available for sale. This is a great location for outdoor activities of all kinds.
